I started 2 clones from my last grow. I cut them when their mother was 1 week into flower and stuck them in tiny jars of water and set them in a window. I had to put brown paper around the jars so the algae wouldn't grow, but once they got a few roots I planted them in some styrofoam cups using happy frog dirt in old computer box with a 50w LED. There, they managed to cling to life while I waited for their mother to finish flowering.
I saw someone else suggest growing in a cup withholes in it so the roots will get oxygen.jpg

Now that I've harvested the other plant I've repotted these into gallon size cloth pots and put them in my 2.5x2.5 tent with my 150 w mars hydro LED. I'm not sure it's going to be enough light for 2 plants so I might have to supplement. I definitely don't want to let them get as big as my last plant.

They were terribly root bound and of course leggy because of the small light, but I'm sure they'll iron out now that I have them in my main tent. The newer leaf sets are starting to get 5 fingers, but some of the older ones are only 3. This one's my favorite because it's 2 and the little one is smooth and looks like a thumb.

This is only my 3rd grow since it became legal in my state so I don't really know what I'm doing, but I've learned quite a bit from reading stuff on the web and here.

Looking good! Do you know what strain they are?

Also, your light will get you through veg easily, and an ok flower, but if you managed to get abit stronger light for flower it would be poppin.

They've established themselves now so I'm gonna do something I read about in a high times years ago... hope I'm not sorry.

I am cutting the tops off and putting them in these little containers with water. This, will let me clone my plant and by cropping the top it will make it split so I can train it.

I cut a hole in the top of the container for a tube so I can attach an aerator or just blow bubbles in the water to give it oxygen.

I wrapped the containers in brown paper bags so the water can't develop algae. I started my last 2 clones this way and it seems to help. Anyway, we'll see how this goes.

I'm not sure what the exact strain is. It's an indica of some sort that I got out of a bag last year and I've cloned it twice now.
 
The bounced back from topping so I super cropped them the other day

Now they've come back from their super cropping but they have a few claws. I think I've overcorrected for not adding enough nutes in my last grow.

I made a clone box from 2 boxes that contained the parts for my office chair and some groceries I got. I lined it with white garbage bags and some mylar insulation from my various grocery deliveries over the last year. It's not pretty but it works OK.

I got these funny looking corn cob lights off amazon. they're 50 watts each. Idk how well they will work but they are replacing a 50w CFL I used for my last clones.
Im using 2 50 watt corn lights i got off amazon they seem to work ok.jpg
 
Someday soon, I'm gonna have to clean house so I can find a place to put a full time veg closet. As it stands right now I basically have a veg/flower closet and a clone/keep-them-alive-until-the-flowers-finish box.

My canopy is pretty even now. I want to defoliate one more time and see if I can get another side branch to come up a little higher. Afterwards I'm going to transplant them in a 5 gal cloth pot and switch it over to 12x12. I cant let them get too big in my tiny 2x2 tent, but I'm going to try and use a net and defoliate the bottom part like I've seen people do on this site.

Still pretty limey though so I'm gonna wait a week to make sure the leaves are greening up. If not then I'm going to have to clean my stupid storage closet and find my ph/ec meter so I can ph water etc. blech! I know it's necessary but my last 2 grows were pretty easy so I didn't use it and I lost it. I'm hoping flushing it with plain water was enough. It might be necessary to ph with soil grows, but I will allow me to complain about having to do it in my own journal.

If you just transplanted then there should be a good nutrient level in the fresh soil, no? Depending on the soil type. Mine get yellow in that situation when they grow fast. Then they green up in a few days. Almost like they outgrow the nitrogen.
They may be too far from the light source but that is better than too close. I have a 200watt Quantum board over 2 plants in flower now and it is about 1ft. above the canopy. I started them in veg at about 18 inches above the canopy.............

I think it is good for peace of mind to know your nute levels and PH of the soil, especially in late veg and early bloom. I have 3 gallon cloth pots of " roots organics" potting soil and I dont need to fertilize after transplanting for about a week...................
those plants have good potential by my standards.

This PAR meter also helped me some. The soil tester is fairly inexpensive and comes in handy on occasion.

Thank you so much for your feedback and information. I've ordered one of those soil testers. It should be here in a few days. I can't find the original meter I had. Probably fell in a box back in the abyss of my storage closet.

I hope my 150watt LED will be enough for these 2 plants but I have a supplemental cfl bulb I can use if it looks like not everything is getting hit. I'm hoping to afford myself a 300watt LED for my bday and then I can use this 150 for clones and the first part of veg and then the 300 for finishing and flowering.
 
That sounds like a good plan. If you can cover your area with 40 or 50 watts per sq. ft. then that is plenty of light from a good quantum board from a good company. I am using 330 watts with 2 fixtures covering 8sq.ft. That seems to be working well for me with a tall sativa dominant strain.
 
Finally looking better. I think they went into shock when I transplanted them. Then I tried to "fix" it by pouring more nutrients on them. That locked them out and then all kinds of weird things started happening like spindly little wispy leaves and everything was bright yellow.

I flushed it with water ph'd to 6.2 and then foliar fed. After about 4 days the little yellow leaves started opening and within the last 3 days it just started getting all kinds of new growth.

I think I'll give it a couple more days and then I'm going to cut a clone and switch to 12x12 or I won't have room for stretch in my tiny 5' tent.

I defoliated them a little to get some air flow going and put them in flower. They seem to be doing OK, but I honestly think I'm going to have to move them out of the tent and put them under the old firestarter to finish flowering. I let them get too big :( 3_21 1.jpg

I got a new 150 watt LED light to add to my tent so now I have 300W total. I was going to use an old HID but it gets too hot in my tent and I save $ in the long run by just getting another LED. I had to super crop the tops. From the light to the top of the canopy is 18" right now. If I have to I can raise my LED's another couple of inches with rope or tape, but they are as high as the pulleys will let them go. According to the chart for my light in flower it needs to be between 12-18 inches from the light. Here's hoping they don't get too much taller, but they have 1-2 weeks left to stretch still I think.
