Applepoop suggesting phosphoric acid now instead of apple cider vinegar like he was a few years ago is a huge step up. Even if nitric and sulfuric acids work better, phosphoric acid is still a viable choice if you can keep P under control.

Mistakes like inhaling sulfuric acid vapors. Not looking to make a name for myself just giving better options to Newer Growers that are safer and less expensive. I don't think anyone's going to lose an entire crop for using a pH Down similar to the commercial pH Downs . You're really overreacting I come on here once every couple years when I want to start growing again that's about as much as I care about forum rep. You take care now and don't forget to wear your 3M 6800 series respiratorHe sounds like a complete noob regurgitating information he read from another board coming here trying to make a name for himself without doing any of the hard work and making mistakes to learn like myself and others have done. Now, he wants to make grandiose claims to fame by trying to slam other members?
I hope no one ever takes him seriously, that could be very costly. People could lose money and even entire crops. That could be months and hundreds of dollars down the drain from listening to some asshat.
Only an idiot would neglect to use PPE to handle concentrated acid. You should at the very least use a face shield, apron, and elbow length gloves.Stop posting my thread.
I'm more than competent enough to handle a 33% dilute solution of sulfuric acid with absolutely no protective gear, I'm talking years of use.
I mean, if a 15 yr old high school student could do it...
Phosphoric acid does not cause precipitates in the reservoir, or "mess with" nutrient solution. This is one of the most misguided shitposts I've ever read. The only problems I see with using phosphoric acid is that it will interfere with nutrient levels and cause precipitates in the reservoir. There are two real problems with nitric acid; the first is the fact it used to make bombs and is strictly controlled, the second is that is has a greater affinity to fume than the others making nitric the most hazardous to utilize.
Phosphoric is expensive and will give you a headache.
Sulfuric is the cheapest and easiest to use.
Only a dipshit would use vinegar and baking soda.View attachment 4145962 View attachment 4145963
grown with Sulfuric acid from end to end, now how about some of you vinegar & baking soda users posting up some of your results?
Like powder citric acid? The white fine crystally stuff?I'M USING LEMON ACID IN powder/granular form..
I didn't have any ph problems...
