DIY...Noise Controll....Canfan/squirrelfan....SOUND BOX

I have the elf hooked up inside of my cab (about ceiling height) with ducting attaching it to my fan and exhausting it outside. It works great and kills the smell 100%. I just finished up AK47 and anyone whos grown that strain knows what powerful smell is.

I also have a 3x12 screened intake at the bottom of my cab with a small fan pulling in fresh air and blowing it at the base of my plants.

I like the cool tube diagram with the filter up top. Think that will be my next modification

yea i have a elf filter but i noticed that it cuts way down the air flow coming in.....and i couldnt divert the intake air to the top and bottom of the plants with the elf on.

Has anyone started a fire with this yet???? if not im gonna make one or two when I get my tent. just let me know

I got myself a 4" Vortex 177cfm and its a tad loud then I would prefere. I am goin to be creating on of these onces everything in my tent is operating in good conditions.

i also have a 4" Vortex. Fucker is loud. I put it in a box and filled it with insulation. Cant hear anything outside of my room now

yea these things work like a charm ..... wish i new who was the first one to think of this..... i just saw it hanging in a room on a video grow and was like that box is a fan i dont get it hahaha but now i do

No fires, still works good. If you use insulated ducing before and after the fan it helps even more to cut down the noise. Good luck.
