DiY LED Veg/Clone/Mom Shelf

Aloha

I have recently been approved by the other 3/4 to use a (36"W x 16"L x 17"H) shelf for cloning/seeds/moms/veg
On order from fast tech I have

xp l v5 (qty. 5)
https://www.fasttech.com/product/1163600
1w driver (qty. 1)
https://www.fasttech.com/product/1178000
1w heatsink (qty. 1)
https://www.fasttech.com/product/1163600

I plan on using 1 diode at 1 watt over 12" x 16" x 17"on the shelf for cloning.
That will leave me with 4 crees, 24" x 16" x 17" of space, and some driver/heatsink shopping to do.
I'd like to utilize that space for a mom or two, and solo cup rooted clones.

I would appreciate your input on how hard I should drive the leds to achieve my goals, given the height restrictions. Right now I'm leaning towards 600-700 ma mounted on something from the housewares dept :D
I am more than welcome to purchasing more LEDS as well

Thank you!

Recent moves with the wifey have been made and I am now alotted 22" of height.

So now I'm thinking
2 vero 10 5000k @300ma
4 xp L v5 @ 300 ma
Over
24" × 16" × 22" W x L x H shelf

If anyone would like to input on my decisions before I hit check out, thanks!

I love my wifey :D
Shes cool with me renovating our house for care giving!
Well, one wall in one room of house haha.

So yeah. This is what I've come up with. Based on the fine works of DrBudGreengenes, Bueno Time and countless other amazing soggers and LEDers. Many thanks!!

12x vero 10's driven at 350ma covering 4 sq ft.
12x Red 2w leds (photo red cree, possibly other reds also?)
12x One Gal pots with 3x 2-4" zero veg time clones each

3 pots harvested every 2 weeks on a perpetual cycle
So LOWBALL/CHEAPO numbers of 5g/budlette
6 pots per month = 24 budlettes x 5g = 120g/mo on 136 watts.
~Qp/mo..
MEDOCRE/SLACKIN AVERAGE estimate of 7g/budlette
24b x 7g = 168g/mo
Perfect for me, my wifey, and our designated patients! At top notch efficiency :D

Numbers look off to you? Party cups (16oz volume) are pulling stuff from 5gs to 21 and higher even lol!
128oz/gal divided by 3 budlettes= 42.6oz volume each
More than twice the soil volume each... I could possibly even veg for a week before flipping after I see what height each strain finishes at with zero veg time.
If space allows I can easily estimate 10g/budlette doing that.

Let me know what you guys think! Especially on the spread for the Vero 10s...I have plans for puttin 24 @ 175ma but I can't find a suitable driver!!!! 175 is hard to find...The 12 chip plan spread should be enough though, and will keep the costs considerably down. The red LEDs will only be on the 4 weeks remaining half of the cab. I planned this to keep stretch down on the earlier stages (using 4k cobs), while adding wattage/sq foot to the canopy as well. Originally I wanted to do a mix of UV and the reds, but further research deemed it unneeded due to the added complexity to the build it poses. Haven't ordered anything yet and still deciding on heat sinks and drivers. Right now I'm thinking 30" length of the 2" profile at H.USA for 6 vero 10s. 2 50mm fans mounted equidistant on top. Two of these bars spaced evenly with the red led bars going in between.

I know a lot of you have commented on countless of builds, and you may be annoyed by my walls of text, but please do me a solid and give me at least one word of critique good or bad lol! Second opinions and research are nice before I spend a lot of money haha

Anyways, I have a separate veg cab near construction as well.
Here's some quick plans

This cab will be pretty damn snazzy with her LEDs and multiple functions lol. Should get the job done great.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Jah bless us all

Haha, I love how this thread started:
"fuck yea guys my life let me get a 1ft by 1ft cab!
"Alright guys she's letting me get a 2sqft cab!
"Okay boys we've mortgaged the house, sold the cars, drained the kids college funds - but she let me get a grow mansion!"

The convincing powers are strong in this one!

If you're looking at 4sqft you'd probably be better off in the long run with CXB3950s. Veros are cheaper upfront but you'll make the $ difference back with the gained efficiency or a 3950 build vs. running 4 Veros hard. At least that's how I'd explain it to my wife! $$$

Haha yup basically it came down to hey this is going to support you so let me do my thing!
Thanks for replying.
I like 3590s too! Height is only 32", and based on journals I've seen vero 10's can be 4" from canopy at flower. Perfect for me.
I forgot about this thread honestly.. lol here's the cab though :)

I will most likely update this cab in my other thread.
