DIY LED first time question.

I have an LED light fixture that's not for growing but I am wondering if it'll work. It's a gas canopy light from a gas station. It looks powerful and it is very bright.

Has anyone ever used a light like this and completed a flower cycle? What was your yield and quality like?

The driver is 150w I think.

Do you happen to know the colour temp of it?
It's probably certainly puts out enough light but if the colour temp is too high it may not be suitable for flowering.

It's like a neutral color. All of the LED's I've seen for growing are red and/or blue. Would white light not produce buds or would they be scraggly fluffy not worth it nugs? I'm looking to expand my canopy area without buying another light....

You could also potentially Frankenstein it... Use parts and upgrade but you'd need to open and show us what's inside and be capable of a little diy

White lights are good.

Worst case scenario is that you have a good veg light.
Best case it will be good for flowering too.

But only trying will tell.

I looked it up, LSI CRO2-S-LED-100, Gas Canopy, 115w fixture, 9242 Lumen Output, 5400k

So yeah wicked find, probably make a great veg lamp as mentioned earlier. Parts and ballasts seem readily available online too.
