DIY F Series Driver

And unfortunately HLG doesn't have their QB132s in 3500K right now. Its either a set of 3000k or 4000k. I'm wanting it to be for full cycle growing. I know plenty of people say vegging under 3000K is fine but it seems like 3500K would be better.
Vegging under 3000k really is fine. Better than fine, in fact. And many people swear by 4000k for flower, though I haven't tried that myself.

I would go with the QB132s. Generally, I agree that strip builds offer better spread, but when you're talking about such a huge difference in the number of diodes, I'd say the QB132's advantage there will ultimately win out.

Just wanted to add my experience using the FB24B's. I run 4 of them as outrigger supplements on my 48" Vero arrays. I run them on a HLG-320H-48B driver so they run at approx 75 watts/strip. They are mounted on 2"x0.125"x45" aluminum strips I sourced from a local welding supply. They barely get above 100degF when I run them at full power.

My bad - error on the diode count!

Vout sets an upper voltage limit.
Little more detail? I was always under the impression if you had say a 43v strip bud and an HLG-###H-42A you'd use the pot with a multimeter on the pos and neg leads to get it to 43 or down to 40 if your strips were 40v.

@diyled it just shows how unhelpful you are to this forum when you laugh at a person who asks a question to learn more about something. When someone asks politely for an explanation of something so they can have a better understanding of it.
Why dont you save your low-key jabs for IG.
This is a place where we shouldn't feel judged or made fun of for asking questions.
You wouldn't believe some of the questions I get asked in PMs. I never once laugh them off and make them feel lesser. I realize they're simply uninformed of the subject and feel honored and happy that they feel confident enough to ask me for help.
It really blows knowing there's still such judgemental members here.

Probably better off just getting a higher wattage hlg *** 24b

And a 10v ,dimmer.
Hopefully you already have a killawatt

The AB versions still have an adjustable pot. It is just behind a rubber plug that seals the opening on the bottom side of the driver.

you guys reckon the scope v2 150w kit will be ok to pair with a 265w lm301b quantum board at 3000k running at same distance from plant during flower just wondering as the scope v2 can be ran very close to the plants so worried if both lights will need to be at a separate height as supposed to be having them attatched to a single frame and I could be wasting the purchase if its not going to be as efficient as the qb from a distance.

If anything you could dim your 2 board quantum setup & bring it a bit closer if need be.

thanks for the response man, im using the meanwell elg 240 c2100a 3y driver with my qb 265w im not sure how much this driver allows me to dim in by? it has a internal screw that you can turn left or right to dim/brighten.
