Hey i got a meanwell 320h 48b and I'm having trouble finding a dimmer to hook up to it the output says48v 6.8 amps so do i need a dimmer that can handle 48v? Cause i can't find one anywhere

For your 5x5, I would not run them at 360W, I would run them at about 250W each.

Interesting boards, BTW. I like the size. One of those would be perfect for one of my 2x4 flower cabinets.
@CobKits i have a question as i am moving from chinese Burple lights to cobs, please pardon me for hijacking the thread and if i need to create a new one please let me know as i declare myself ignorant when it comes to this, i have this options for my small 3x3 tent 3X of cree CXB3590 with one HLG-185 or the same 3X with one HLG-240, I can also change get my hands into 3 Vero29 cobs with any of those drivers or 3 citizen 1212 with the same drivers Could you please advise which way would you go? thanks in advance for your help
Thank you so much for the reply, so that means 3 cobs of 1212 with an HLG-185 is to hot or cant be done? it can add a dimmer also if that helps building that setup, due to limitations on my local market and budget i cutted my options to 1212 or Cree, but cree is way more expensive i could buy 2 fixtures of 3 cobs 1212 with a HLG-185 for a little more than only 1 cree, would you change the power supply to run those 3 COBS? i believe 2 fixtures of 1212 would work better on that 3x3 than a single 3 or 4 cob cree fixture but please correct me if i am wrong. I really apologize for asking this much but i really know very few about this, I have been reading but still appreciate the input of an expert.

it "can be done", and is within chip spec, but most people would opt for a citi 1216, 1818, or luminus at that wattage. 4 1212s on a 185 would do you right, about 220W which is a little low for a 3x3 but works
i just like 4 cobs in a square space
Thanks once again and how about 6 1212 or 8 in that case 3 or 4 per fixture with those hlg-185 , is it to much or will that be ok? i can only get CXB3590 or 1212 here in the local market and its expensive AF.

I just want to add, I wouldn't use lenses if you can avoid it. If you get flying nats at any point in your grow they will fly into the space between the lens and the cob, die and pile up on the inside of the lens, eventually, the corpses make a hot spot and melt through the lens leaving black char. This is hard to spot with the lights on since it is so bright and you never want to look right at the lights, but it happened to me. I will never use a lens on my cobbs again.

I just went through all this,cobs,samsung diodes,like the quantum boards.I went with the quantum boards on Alibaba,I can tell you who to contact also if needed.I got 2 sets of lm301b Samsung diods 288 4 boards,with 480 watt drivers.600 something with shipping,I forgot to get the dimmer and didn't realize the HLG driver was b not a.The quantum board couldn't stay in stock so,also I found plenty of evidence on YouTube,they are good.Here is a pic of one.

So reflectors will be, thank you so much, right now i am just hesitating on how to proceed i can only afford Citizen 1212 at least from my market so i am tinking about purchasing 2 cob fixtures of 3 units with an HLG-185 each and dimm them to 1100mA instead of 1400mA, hlg-185 is or 240 are the only drivers i can get in CR, hopefully i can buy today and get right of my blurple lights, they worked for me and my learning but is time to move to a real light.
Those look really nice and i have read a lot about them as well i was between QB and Cobs decided Cobs due to pricing but i can definetely look at those you found, thank you so much!

They are kinda the same type of lighting.I was between both and went with these.They are cheaper,efficient and from research very good.I just started will let you know in a few months lol.But that was all almost 700 with the dimmer little over 700 so lees.
Really appreciate your advise! I can get the 2 citizen fixtures with 3 COBS for around $500 here which is like my budget , i cant spend more than that , i just found a couple boards but are more expensive than that , but i will keep looking for sure i dont want to spend $500 which in Costa Rica is a load of money hahaha and then regret my purchase
