DIY cloner or Ebay cheap one?

I need to get me an ez cloner. The thing is, ... they have cheap ones on Ebay for about what it would cost me to build one myself. I certainly won't buy the nice ones that I have seen online for $250+. One thing about the cheap ones, or a DIY one, how do you ever do a dome? They don't necessarily make humidity domes for rubbermaid tubs or tupperware. What would you guys do & what do yall think?

Here are the Ebay ones for cheap. What do you guys think?

The secret to cloning in water is to keep the water highly oxygenated or bacteria will mess up your roots. Keep that water moving and oxygenated and they don't stand a chance. If you're going to grow in soil you can just use Clonex gel and stick them straight into party cups then under a dome with a heated seed mat; I've had 100% success with that method. No serious grower should be without a seed mat they are awesome.

Most aero cloners don't use a dome. If you buy one or build one, like you said, not much price difference. I was able to build one using just air stones and
a big air pump. The bubbles breaking on the surface kept the bottom of the pots nice and wet. Saved me a few bucks on pvc and spray nozzles, and since
I had the airpump, I didn't have to buy a pond pump.

I bought a clone king because it was about as cheap as me making one. Just getting ready to try it for the first time. It seems like a good value though for the price.

I never cared for aero. Too many technical issues that go wrong. Airstones in water or just simple Rapid Rooter with a dome will give you 99% success if you keep things clean. Lots of threads on most forums to explain the basics.

Good luck to you.
