In my perspective and this is just speculation, but here is my theory regarding cheeper 70lm/w type LEDS.
A CXB or Vero Bare can be at 10" at good Umol. Now the cheep COB run about half that umol at that distance, somy theory move then 50% closer and you should be hitting similar umol.
Thats my big problem. All ypou need to do is move the LEDS closer.
I will be testing this theory this year in a side by side in a 3 x 3 9 plants coco.

The 3590 is only 5% more efficient at 2.1A than the Vero.
Personally CXB isnt worth the premium price, but thats for you to decide.
Also I hope your in the USA as duty is a bitch in Canada.

just run a table setup or ebb or nft man you will not get a better grow with them 3 setups or run coco full hydro like i do i se to dabble in the diff setups back in the day coco full hydro just kills every setupim just done with the panel atm im making a aerophonics system for the tent pic's will come soon

I love Coco full hydro.
Not a fan of true hydro at all. Not a big risk taker in that department.

i use to run the yee old table ebb with the roc wool cubes running a feed 6 - 8 times a day i run coco these day with 3 feeds a day every day

Yeah I am currently waiting on irrigation suppliers to setup a 3 x a day Coco feed. Hate hand watering and hate all the runoff.
Cant stand hand watering especially in flower. I know some guys running like 6 feeds a day which is quite intense.

hand feeding sucks i run mine on timers when a runoff going straight outside 44 gallon rez so i change it up every 2 weeks

I dont do runoff due to being in a tent. Just run Flora Kleen every now and again no issues.
Ill be running timer as well.

i run a tent as well bro just cut a tiny hole in the back of ya tent above the run off trays and conect some small pvc to the pots and run it outside

Put those chips on an adjustable power supply and turn it down low enough to be able to see the diodes. The cob is so bright you'd think it was working perfectly........ I'm willing to bet 25 - 50% of the diodes don't even light up! what they are selling cheap are factory rejects.
And thats what im going to test

Done with the Aeroponics system
The aeroponics system is finished but then the old pump didnt work so have to go get a new one but then we finally are Ready to do the test run!! Still only got the 150w cob panel so lets se how it goes the first week because im still waiting for the last components for the second panel
