Diy Carbon filter without ducting

Hi.I would like to build a diy carbon filter.
The problem is i can't make holes in the flat thats why i would like to make it without ducking.
Anyone have seen/done a unit like that ?

There's really no reason you can't just hook up an inline fan directly to a filter just sitting on the floor or hanging or whatever... it doesn't "have" to be ducted, just do it within the grow room and there should be no problem...

Well, I didn't say it would be that quiet. He could build mufflers for either side to take the edge off. Still wouldn't have to knock a hole in a wall...

its not even 1 % to make a hole in the wall and smell is an issue so i need to sort this out.I am planning to flower 2-3 plants at a time.How about to have ozone generators or ionizers?Are they worth it ?

Like it was already said, just run a fan and filter and sit it in a corner in the room...or hang it....you can add duct to let it out in a diff place then where the filter is.

if the room isnt that big you wont have to get a huge fan, plus you can get a speed controller to turn it down to right speed. As long as your getting the room volume or about that every min, you should be fine. I'm sure it would work with less.

Ozone generators and ionizers are NOT worth it. As for carbon filtering your grow, i gotta be honest you're not thinking quite right about the process IMO. The goal should not be to treat all the air in the grow room, it should be to create a negative vacuum within the grow room, and just treat the air you're removing from it. IMO you're going to need a duct, you can't just stick a carbon filter in a room and say make it not smell. The plants keep making stink, and all it takes is one crack for that stink to get out before your filter had a chance to clean that bit of stinky air, get it? You just want to be in control of cleaning a little air, just enough air leaving the grow room from one duct, so its not leaving the grow room from anywhere else. That way, through any other crack in the grow room air will be flowing in, from outside the grow space. You also want this so you can exchange the c02 in the grow room for the plants to feed. There are only a million threads on carbon filters and how to make them right, did you really think you needed to start another..

Guess I'm trolling the old post again. This is what I get for googling something. However, I'm about to try the filter in the room and say "make it not smell". SMF'er
