Diy Aero cloner issues, went to plugs for time being

Built this setup and it was ripping roots in 5-7 days like clockwork.. Shut it down for a while and restarted and cleaned. Plugged it in and it sprayed. I noticed that instead of misting it was spraying. So I ordered 50 ez clone heads, and replaced my 14. Plugged it in and spray looked good. Added clones and had a 20% success rate with the successful ones being all ugly and stressed. Attached is a pic of the last clone from hell, the new plugs and the cloner. My res temps linger at 73F and have recently switched to ro which coincides with the downward spiral, any thoughts or first hand experiences would be appreciated. I'm trying to just get back to that sweet spot.image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

i apologize yet again for the orientation of the pics. I'm taking them on an iPad in portrait position, should I be taking pics in landscape?

do you clean and use water with a bleach solution?

Negative. Every Sunday I clean buckets and stones with soap. No h303 or bleach. You think something funky is growing in those pipes and pump? I'm having issues with bubble buckets too, but I think it's from weak clones. I have only ever used soap. I notice no slime or smells though. Thanks for the response

people use bleach and also actually leave the bleach in the water im pretty sure, with more success. dont be afraid of bleach just know the right amount to use

I use well water with a ppm averaging 180 and this is all I use in my cloners and I never loose any cuts unless I make the decision to abort them ! Always keep the clone dome around though as it is a safety net for emergencies ..

Interesting. My ppm on tap is right around 180 and that it what I ran first time. I currently aborted the cloner because I need to get out of the hole. I never added calcium or calmag to res. You may have answered my question. I Will test it out when this cycle goes through. Thank you!

Your welcome , hope all goes well and that you can pay it forward too ..

Update. Cleaning cloner with clr then sanitizing and running tap. I also changed my three bubble buckets back to tap water. Everything went to shit when the water changed. If they turn around, I'll update!

man im telling you, 1 cap of bleach per gal of water and thats it for cleaning, with some brushing if necessary. clean every week ! use your normal cuttings solution
