no kidding......and he had me looking at using a mh instead of fluros....sheez. glad i didnt do that yet. lol im just kidding.
hey fdd......
me and kp were having a talk about using my hps ballast for mh one evening sometime this week (fri or sat i think)
and she gave me some info that you might wanna consider too.
does the ballast have an igniter running in it? if it does that wil cause the mh bulb to blow like WAY fast. I assume that you asked for a mh but id look to see just in case they gave you hps by mistake........ and if that is the case just bypass the igniter.

seems to me like you shouldent have been so hard on the guy from htg..... i mean afterall, they just buy parts and assemble them for a little of a profit. i do the same thing, and im willing to bet that the guy just had a part in his ballast that was half faulty. If the part wasnt acting up when they tested it and shipped it out, then they wouldnt know.
my ballast didnt work when i first got it. I phoned the guy up furious and he was very understanding right away. they had no other 400 watt complete hits like i ordered at the time to substitute me so they shipped me a 600watt digital ballast until they had my 400 watt repaired a week and a half later. MANY MANY compines do the same things as htg...... but htg still sells their products for cheaper for the consumer. Ill always stand by em.
they gave me a lighter with a bottle opener too. that would be awesome if i drank beer....lol

after 4 emails and 10 days i've still heard nothing back from HTG. yeah, i know, call him. but why should i have to?

after visiting 3 hydro stores and speaking with numerous people we've determined it can only be the timer. i've upgraded the timer and gotten another bulb. it's scheduled to come on in 5 hours.

hi fdd, hope the new timer works for you. its shocking the way some people are, they sell you something and when it doesnt work they dont want to know. all the best.

as a grower and a consumer id say that that is pretty shitty service. if he offers email contact he should check it no less than every other day.

ill be upgrading my room timers to two of the grey box timers for water heaters when next winter comes around because ive had so many problems from the small cheap ones.
good luck with the bulb. maybe this one wont get fooked up because of the timer. if you are usuing quality named bulbs i bet this shit hasnt been cheap for you.

Hey fdd well I emailed them alot also and got no reply for 7 days So I called them and they were closed for new years. Very frustrating I know I cant complain on the products I got but the customer service is bull. He finally email me back on the 9th day. All was well after that but yeah you shouldn't have to call him but you might have to.

any plans on breeding for this year?
good news that the light prob seems to be fixed so far.
what type of timer are you working with now?

i got a nice heavy duty timer from the hydro store.

i'm working on the raft and hijack only this year. i want to get them both stabilized and have a seed stock stored for later. :blsmoke:
