Distilled Water

I don't have a R/O unit. Can I save myself some trouble and just water my plants(soil) w/ distilled water? Yes, I will still test ph before watering. While I'm thinking...Should I test ph before and after adding any nutes to the water? Thanks in advance.

yeah distilled water is perfect. i get mine at walmart.

definitely check the ph before and after adding nutes because nutes will change the ph, distilled shouldn't be a problem i use distilled and i dont even check the ph and iv yet to have ph problems

I get R/O water from in front of the grocery store.... .25 cents a gallon. at one of those vending machines that vend a gallon at a time. Better than distilled.

Why use distilled water or R/O water in soil?

I would use tap water, check the PH.

If you use distilled water or R/O you need to add something like CAL-MAG at some point in your grow because most of the trace minerals will be missing.
