distance from 1000W bulb to plant tops

How close should i be to my plant tops with my bulb to minimize stretching? I have it located in a cold room.. 2 fans doing a good job of dissipating heat.. one is blowing on the bulb and the other is blowing on the plant.. currently i have no air exchange or odor equipment.. just air circulation in a big room with 1 plant.. as of right now i have the bulb about 4 feet from the plant but i ALSO don't have a reflector...

Any advice from the experienced?

I like it about 18 inches. I'd go even lower if I only had one plant but i need to spead the love around to a few more.

is 25 degrees celcius (77 .F) too hot in the room for my plants? At what temp are you starting to push heat stress on the little guys? because i do have a mix of a few things in there.. bubblegum, blueberry, nothern lights x skunk, and 2 burmese sativas.. So i can see the sativas being more tolerant to the heat. But i worry about my Indicas.

1 plant under a 1000w? Isnt' that overkill? I mean with that type of light at least put 4-6 so you can get more bang for the buck.

90 degrees is max. At nights it should go down 15-20 degrees and be fine.

i have 5 plants under it 1 bubblegum ready for flower.. (female) and 4 seedlings, 1 due to pop up by the end of the weekend.. they are ALL under a 1000W MH trying to play catch up with the seedlings.. I also have another 2 cuttings sitting in a cup of water trying to promote rooting... these 2 hopeful clones are 100% female bubblegum.

My seedlings are 2 Burmese sativas, a northernskunk, and a blueberry(sagmartha/djshort genetics)
