Dispensary cannabis

No, nothing to do with clones. Two things are pushing the pretty dramatic drop in dispo bud quality over the past 20 years. First, everyone and their mother are trying to get in on green rush. When a new state goes legal, it's a mad rush to open facilities and make that sweet first year bank on sales. These big outfits cut every corner possible to churn out crops as fast as they can. The reason homegrown cannabis is so much better (or should be) is because we can take the time to grow out crops to peak ripeness, choose quality genetics, and slow dry, among many other things.

Probably improper storage, IMO.

Keep in mind that dispensaries carry products of varying quality, similar to bars. (top shelf vs low budget)

In other words, sometimes you get what you paid for.

If someone complains about a $4 joint, I'd say what did you expect?

You must be right. I find it crazy that they can sell a product like that at the prices they want.

I have never had anything strong from a dispensary. If I buy from them it’s to try the type of buzz, so I can grow my own strain.

Exaggerated lab results and complacent custies allow them to push lower quality for higher margins.
Why serve a better product if it'll reduce a custies consumption ? Sell em crap and they'll smoke thru it faster to go shopping again.
I've never tried dispensary weed although I've handled and sniffed it. I always end up offering mine for a sesh instead.

I think depending on where you are makes all the difference here. Where I am the dispensaries are pretty decent but sometimes my homegrown beats it depending on the run and the strain vs strain.
What I can say is where I am the street weed is totally Russian roulette but you lose more than you win. Lots of brown ugly weed, lots of weak hardly feel a thing bunk and the prices can be almost or as much as the dispensary.
I recently smoked someones "good shit" the scored. Man it was awful. Tasted liked funky ass cigarette and made me nauseous.

Oh I also almost never run into other growers around here, which considering I keep it secret as well doesn't surprise me. But when I do meet someone who grows it's usually random one off grows or just bad.
One guy I knew through a friend claimed to have grown for years but all of his buds were super premature, over dry with all the leaves attached.
Not like I claim to be some bomb ass master grower but around here where I live when I load up my homegrown people always have good things to say. Often wanting me to hook them up with "my guy" lol. Since it's secret I have to give them the brush off but it's nice for my ego

I really think the key is genetics and cutting corners is the difference. Can we say definitively that 1000 clones later the genetics are the same?
