Dispensaries Selling Bud with Spidermites - How Do You Feel after You Realize?

So, I got this bud from a dispensary in SoCal, and there was just something off about it. I look at it under the 30x microscope and sure enough for the first time in my life I see spidermites. I am freaking out at this point, just like acting a fool. You know how it is, I just feel ilke the spidermites are all over me now and I never ever want to use this microscope again. I actually feel that if I look at any bud I will see something crawling, so I never want to look up close at bud again almost at this point. I can't even smoke the rest of the night at this point because I'm so freaked out. Everything needs to be thrown away.

you know whats funny..... anyone who has smoked weed for a long period.... at some point in time has probably smoked some weed with mites in it (they probably didnt even know it)

Anyone who has ever smoked a substantial amount of weed (ie. everyone on this site) has surely smoked thousands of spidermites. Take the bud back with your microscope, show them and if they don't bend over backwards to make it right than never ever go back to that dispensary.

I understand how you felt.. when i found a spidermite in my grow I shit a brick.

me personally, i wouldnt really worry about it. spider mites are more of a concern to growers than consumers, and that is only cause a spider mite infestation could potentially fuck your crop up. the ONLY reason i would really worry about it is, because of the possibility that they were spraying bad shit on it to control it.

Return it. They'll give you good bud for your troubles.

I once got bud with PM on it. I was PISSED because it as also really poorly manicure and they were selling it at $50 an 1/8th. Fuckers.

Yet another "sexually" transmitted diseases which spreads from one grow operation to another, clone to clone.

I grow from seed for a lot of reasons. Spider mites and Powdery mildew are the main reasons.

I had a semi outdoor grow operation running with 40 females and they got infested by whiteflys.. I used a neonicotinoid insectiside called Acetamiprid, it fucked them up pretty well but they came back and i kept spraying, lol I didnt have the choice to isolate the plants from the outside so i just let them be, put yellow sticky papers up etc and then came the spider mites...

They must of fucked up a certain amount of my crop but it was still alright... I would just look at my bud and there would be whitefly eggs on it and i would just laugh and skin up a spliff, same goes for spider mites lol I even took pictures of them through my microscope and showed them to mates for banter... I absolutely didnt give a fuck that i was smoking them just the fact they were screwing with my crop.

You guys are lucky to even have the chance to complain, i would just be happy i could complain if i wanted to and smoke that bag man but thats just me...

Oh just for anyone who is fussed about eating insects: The food and drug administration in the US allows a certain amounts of insects to be in food. There is actually an allowed amount meaning your eating kilograms of insects every year...

If im not wrong; for chocolate it was 4 larva per gram, for orange juice 14 larvae per 100ml and in peanutbutter and stuff too, propably bread aswell...

Resistence is futile, smoke and eat them insects!!!

Never got them on bud(that I know of), but HAVE gotten them on clones.

u better take that shit back too that dispensary...and show them what they sold u and they should reimburse u and take that strain off the shelf....if they don't they'll lose a customer even though i'm sure they already did. how long did they think they'd get away with that for?

Bugs in general are in contact with all the food you eat up until the point it is harvested, and then you eat some dead bugs even after it is cleaned. You eat onions a bird took a shit on, you eat corn that the farmers kid pissed on (yup, I did it as a kid and someone eventually ate it), etc. Seriously, if you are going to get all bent out of shape over a few spider mites, then it's obvious you are completely ignorant to the things you put into your body daily. Some people actually eat bugs for survival. Get over it, it's part of life. Paved roads and coffe shops have made you soft.

But, seeing how you bought it from a dispensary, the least they can do is sell product that doesn't have visable signs of bug infestations. Should of trimmed that part off, lol.

this is the reason why it goes straight into my grinder if it smells great and looks good the just grind that shit up

But Dispencarys selling clones with live mites that will FUCK your grow room, that would piss me off to the point of violence an revenge.
So I will never risk it an buy clones,.........

I got 'em like that, but I am picking up 10 or 12 clones tonight from my dispensary. I've emptied my grow room, am bombing the shit out of it with Doktor Doom, then Liquid Ladybug with a sprayer, then a peroxide/water solution. PAIN IN THE ASS!!! Shut me down for a couple weeks now. I am planning on a complete dunk in neem and a systemic mitacide when I first put them in pots to handle any eggs that the neem might've missed and hatch. Of course this will also include close visual inspection as well.

i've never had a problem with bugs or molds....and i use clones all the time...i use neem oil and ed roshenthals secret formulas for bugs and molds up into week 3 or 4 of flowering. i don't have to bug bomb my room either, but i do try to clean my room weekly/daily.
