Discrete outdoor drying methods

Hey ladies and gents soooo recently i have had to move and so have my plants, they are currently staying with a friend. Problem one of my plants will be ready to harvest in about a week and because i am temporarily living back at home i have no way of drying the buds without my father (ex-smoker and has the nose of a blood hound) knowing. I would need to dry the buds outdoors, could i just throw them in a rubber maid outdoors? its currently summer here so they would get plenty of sun. Ps This is my first harvest so if i sound like a noob its because i am!

Thanks guys

you could look into water curing, this method removes all smell. Not favored by most because it remove smell/taste, but it will dry and cure your harvest.

does he have a shed he doesnt use or go in on a daily basis you culd hang em up in? give your plants a rough trim to help it dry quicker. or get a tent and pitch the bitch and allow some air flow. if you have the property to set it uup away from your parents house or w/e undetected.

No there is no shed sadly ive cosidered using the abandoned house down the road but the risk of losing my harvest are to high for my liking. The property isnt huge the only place i could really do it is down the side of the garage. Really needs to be inexpensive and little to no smell. And ill look into the water curing

He'll probably smell it if he goes anywhere near it.
using the abandoned house down the road
A risky option but it could very well work. The only problem I see is air flow due to no power and whatnot.
Get in and get out at night.
It's either a place that's frequented by humans aka your place or a place that isn't frequented by anyone.
ill look into the water curing
Also a legit option. A rubbermaid tote or a 5 gallon bucket with a lod in your closet will suffice until the smell's totally gone. You'll just have to dump it and change water when your dad's gone. The water itself will put off a bit of stink but nowhere near harvest smell. You could negate that by changing it out more frequently. On top of that pop open an Ona and stick it in the closet. With Ona I'm 99% positive you wouldn't smell a thing with Ona AND having it stuck in a bucket or tote (lid on)
I wouldn't attempt to trim though until it's been water cured.
You'll lose taste and smell. But it sounds like that's a problem you WANT to have at this point in time.

Yeah water cure should be done with distilled, or RO water, and the water will have to be changed daily There are a few threads on this website that explain the process well. I water cured part of my last harvest, and it turned out well. Does not smell like weed when smoking it either. Good luck!

You can hang them under trees where they can get airflow, just make sure it doesn't rain, then you would have to bring em inside. Worked good for me

I think ill keep and eye on the house down the road ive snuck in before and there is no sign of human life lol. Investing in a rubbermaid will be a must if i dry outdoors. Ps whats ona?

Get the Rubbermaid cut a hole at each end and cover the holes with carbon filters, air will flow through the box and the filters will block all smell. You can get the filters at a pet shop ( for litter boxes ).

Ed Rosenthal says never dry above 72. Others say 80. Terpenes leave at higher temps. I'm gonna try it. Great weed front 70s was the best taste.Gone with the wind.
