DIRT.....Yes or No

I'm on my second grow. I just don't feel good about hydro even though I grow indoors. I did some cloning a few weeks ago and I though I had lost all 10 of them. I put them in dirt and now I could pull 30 more clones if I wanted to. I LOVE DIRT! Any one else have an opinion on dirt versus hydro?

i like dirt. works great! and thats because that is the way mother nature intended it to happen! i grew hydro once when i was younger. my first time actually and it was a hell of alot of work. good yeilds however.

Im new to growing all over again, and im using dirt this time. 4th grow around and i still havnt got the hang of it. keep getting beautiful males instead of females. hopefully this time around mother nature treats me good!

Can't you get clones from someone?

i'm a firm believer in soil growing. i messed around with some hydro stuff awhile back but i never could get into. seemed to "clinical" for me. (i'm one of those tree-hugging hippies!)

my philosophy is this:

if plants have been growing for roughly four hundred and fifty million years in soil and do well there, who am i to fuck with that? be natural!

I wish there was a section just for dirt growers. There are different issues that only we can talk about. Grow room set ups are different. Nutes are different. Actually it's all different. There's an outdoor section. What about indoors in DIRT!

My mothers and potential breeding stock are in mix indoors,I bring them out for the heavy breezes so the stalks get big though.Notice I said Mix.Just dirt dont cut it.Pick a awesome mix and ya get the sweet earth taste,All my outdoor ladies are in mix.I wish i could run a hydro system out there though.iI would save alot of electricity.:peace:

I have my plants in veg state in a window that has an ocean view and strong sunlight for 6-8 hours plus MH lights so I think I have the best of both worlds.

These babies are growing over an inch a day! I work at home so I really don't get out much. It's a good thing people are always here or I'd turn into a recluse. My house totally smells like a cultivation house but so does most of the houses in the neighborhood!

:shock:I do wonder sometimes what my neighbors think when they see me bringing bag after bag of dirt into my house.

an "Indoor Dirt" specific section would rock. I tend to find that all "Dirt" / "Indoor Dirt" grow related threads lead to "Dro" specific answers.
there are books out there, but there's nothing like a communal Q&A from Grow to Grow.

I heard that hydro gives better yields, but dirt gives better potency.Hydro seems like a big pain in the ass to me.Soil is easy.

I'm always leaning towards natural with our help. No soil seems to cross the line for me anyway.
