Dirt Cheap CFL.

I was at the flea market today and i saw some 30 watt cfl (150 watt equivalent) and they were selling for two bucks. Naturally i had to get em so i picked up six wof them. Now my qustion is, do they look legit? I'm in flowering right now and they don't indicate the kelvin on the package it just say "soft warm white.... Can i use these for flowering?

They are probably at least 4100k if not 2700, so you can use them for flower. You should have a mix of light though, about 70% 2700 and 30% 6500. Also, 30w is not 150 equiv, 42w is 150 equiv.

walmart has .92 cent or "92 cent" rather, light bulbs with like, 2700 lumens... 27w or something nice like that. SUPPPPPERRRR BRIGHT white.

I hate to say it but it doesn't look legit to me. They look awfully small. 150 W are generally bigger. They only look like 60 Watt to me. Since they don't have info on the ballast at the base, I'd compare them to a true 150W and maybe a 75 W CFL from a known reputable company. I'm not saying Walmart is the greatest but they're usually truthful in advertising.

I googled it. Nothing comes up under ChNSL. where'd you get these?

They are not 150w equivalent loperzi is right they are too small. Real size and output who knows you'd have to buy a known light and compare them. I would want to go compare them to the .99c wallmart bulbs, that's a good price and you could maybe round out your spectrum with some of them.

Those wallmart ones might be better but one dollar, two dollars, who cares it may cost you more just to drive to a wallmart to compare them at all.

These are cheap enough that if they suck at growing you'll surely find use for them around the house later anyway. I gave up on cfl's for growing long ago but still have many from trying that one time that are still saving me money around the rest of the house.

I look at walmart all the time and I've never seen a cfl over 26w and they aren't cheap. Best buys I find are on amazon.
