so are you going to lie to everyone and tell them it's purple grandad. this sounds like unfair buisness practice. good thing i only purchase my weed from a REPUTABLE source.
oh, and yes it does work. trim off a branch and leave it in a cup with 1/4" of food coloring in the bottom. i put mine in the fridge overnight. the next day i had blue weed, orange weed, red weed and yellow weed. didn't you ever die a flower as a kid?
well technically i'm not going to lie i'm just going to say i got some bomb ass purple(or whatever the color) weed but i don't know what strain it is. but yeah i knew u can die weed but a lot of ppl can tell u did this, i can anyways. i'm asking about putting it in the water system so it actually grows colorful buds. can somebody pls confirm this one way or the other thats actually tried this

FDD2Blk, so are you saying that i dont have to water it with the coloring?? but when i harvest i should just stick a branch into a cup, with coloring??

heh, well i couldnt care less who i distribute to since my area is only ghetto hustlers trying to flip a quick dollar. I have 6 White Widows set up right now and ill be adding food coloring to three of my girls. Purple Blue and Black. Grow a strain with a dark black tinge and call it 'Grim Reaper'?

ok, i'll keep my opinion on the down low.

so i was testing this last year. it did work. no one would smoke the blue or the orange though. they said it looked scary. i know OF people who use kool-aid to color. they use the unsweetened flavor packages. you can get them for .20 cents each at the grocery store. do not add sugar. i do not know how much. i would assume the more the darker the bud will be. i don't see why you could not add it during the last week or two of flower. it does have flavoring of some sort. i do not know what affect that has on the weed.

I believe we're talking about soil based mediums.

my bad, i was talking hydro, soil and a cup in the fridge.

i added it to soil with No results.

i died some in a cup in the fridge like you would a flower with positive results.

people i know use kool-aid in their hydro reservoirs with positive results.

gee, I'm confused, should I add food coloring and rip people off, or actually grow some good pot, and get paid for my efforts? hmmmmmmm

Why rip people off, sell them some good shit for a good price. I'd like to perfect my own little signature plant. Maybe like a blue bud with gold flakes????? If that's possible.

i don't know on this one. as a grower i would never personally do this. i feel it's cheating. but on the other hand if people want to do it, and there are people who will pay more for color(?), then how can you blame them?

I do believe that you will get caught if you do this, and when you do.....I guess you'll get what you deserve.

I'd like to be there when you do get caught.

i hope so because this has really been bother me since the first time i heard it.

why the big fascination with the color purple? the color doesn't do anything.
some of the best weed i've smoked was brown.

Are you talking about adding the food coloring to the water you use to water or actaully dipping your clipping in food coloring? I dont know if putting it in the water you're feeding with would actually work to color the plant... or would it?!?

Adding color as a supplement to water to force the plant to take on the pigment via absorbtion.

Definatly cheating. Your pot will be purple but my purple pot will STOMP it.

There is a method of growing pot in plain sight and if I turned its leaves completly pointsetta red nobody would know its pot untill it flowers. This is the only use I could think of for coloring.
