Dinafem Original Amnesia and Critical Cheese Autos

So this is my first time running Autos.. little nervous that they wont be as potent as what I am used to, but they are just a bumber crop for when i get the longer flowering sativas in my tent... dont want to run out between crops!

I will admit, I did not have any choice with the autos as I was not going to buy seeds for them so I used my freebies. I am quite impressed so far. Bother girls started flowering about 15-20 days in, the Critical Cheese was first and soon after(2-3 days) the Original Amnesia started showing pistils.

I also have a fem Critical Kush in the run that I will pollinate with some Cinderella 99 BX1 male pollen from Mosca. The Criticak Kush was topped for 4 main colas, the Autos were left untouched except for some light LST work which didnt slow them down at all :)
All the girls are under a 600w MH now, they spent their first week under a HO T5 set up which i then used for the Male C99 and the girls went into the tent.

If anyone has some experience with either of these Autos I would love to hear it.

no exp but Dinafem is an excellent seed company/breeder(s), they have been around long time. Theres only a little more then a handful of seed companies ill go to when i look for seeds and they are one of them. Im sure your getting quality with the auto's :)

I am very happy to hear that! I've got a few seeds from Dinafem, all the rest are non autos and I am looking forward to them :). Kush-n-Cheese, White Widow and DinaChem. What I keep hearing about them makes me feel quite comfortable in running their stuff; I think I've heard one bad thing about them and that was likely just some pissed off grower who messed things up and needed to use them as a scape goat.

The strains both read very nice on paper, growth is great and they flipped to flower under 18/6 in less then 3 weeks so it seems like its going to be as good as they claim since everything else is spot on so far :).

Really wish this pic would upload! That pic is definitely not what they look like today! :p

There we go, was trying to upload a image which was to large.
The left is the Critical Cheese, the furthest to the right is the Original Amnesia and the middle is the non Auto Critical Kush. She got topped, the second time was an accident that worked out better anyways :p.
Gonna need to give them some nutes on their next watering

Hey bud, be careful when it comes to nutrients and your autos! I'd try staring out at 1/4 strength and go from there... It has been my learning experience from my last couple auto grow attempts, that some autos don't need or like nutrients at all. Plus I've been learning some very informative and helpful information from a few people within this community. BTW, they know their shit, lol! Good Luck Man!!!

Thank you very much for the heads up! I started them out at half strength and they seem to want more this time so I will likely add a very small amount more and see how they do. Thankfully the Critical Kush is happy with whatever she gets, but she is a bit of a pig and later will want heavier nutes so I will have to give them different levels for sure.

Tek goes quite a while w/o using nutes, I forgot how long he said. I'm sure if he stops by in here today he will chime in :)

in a almost inert soil less and seed starter mix with a handful of worm castings and about a 1/3 perlite
i start nutes around week 3-4

i do use a bit of cal mag and a few drops of thrive alive b1 red on all water that touches my plants and around 2 weeks i give a small dose of root 66 which is mostly kelp to kick the soil / soil less mix off

i have a few amnesia pics one was around 3' in almost a 1 gal soiless under cfl's

that was early flower

How did the OA taste? Was it as sativa ish as they say she is? I had originally thought these were both 60ish day strains but i think the OA is a few weeks longer, how long you let yours go for?

but the buzz is recliner strapped to a freight train

i let all my auto's go for close to 10-12 weeks
one day i just realized that i had been cutting myself short alot by not letting the plants fully finish
when the fans start to yellow under normal feedings in flower you have around 2 weeks left

or you can wait until all the hairs turn orange

they do this usually 3 times the first couple of " pushes" they are replaced but the third usually stays red/orange then the plant is actually finished

2013-09-28 11.29.06 - Copy.jpg this was a afghan kush ryder just used it for an example main cola see how all the hairs are orange well almost all of them this was harvested around 80 days maybe a little more left the rest of the plant to finish

That sounds like an awesome buzz and that is a gorgeous bud! I would never look at that and know its an auto, I'm starting to think autos dont really deserve the bad rep they have...

they have a really bad rep that was deserved in there youth but now you kinda gotta cut them some slack theyre just as potent as alot of photo's

it takes 5-9 crosses to stabilize the auto trait fully by that time all the undesirable traits are long gone and nothing but the potent photo traits and the auto trait is left

Hey Tek! Just out of curiosity, what do you dose your cal/mag at? I've been staying with about a 1/4 strength feeding on the cal/mag for the last couple of watering's, but I'm still trying to figure out what really works for these sensitive bitches, lol

i use magi cal from techna flora
and a cap full a gal pretty much every watering so once a week or so i think the cap comes out to a little over a teaspoon if i remember right
personally i would rather underfeed them more often than to over feed them even once

I can definitely understand why everyone is so skeptical about autos then, kind of hard to get people to try something again when it didn't work so well before. I wouldn't have tried them had I not got them as freebies and so far, I'm very happy that I get to see first hand what they can do.
