Dim or full power.

New to indoor growing. I have a mars 4800 in a 4x4 and as it is winter here we get some cold overnight temps. So, to stabilise my temperature I have been blasting them at full power and at full height. Can I allow the plants to grow into light, or should I lower and dim. What are the pros and cons of both scenarios.
Thanks

I personally lower and dim, and then adjust light height and intensity to where the plants respond the best to. I start seedlings at 24inches at 30%. Veg 18 inches 50% to 75% and flower 12 inches at 100%

Never blast your plant with as much light as can. I personally run all my equipment at 75. That’s max power for me. Maybe 80 depending on model. But full power your asking for trouble. Not saying you can’t. Just better you don’t.

In what way is not dimming asking for trouble?

Blasting your lights at full power or 110% will significantly shorten the lifespan of the light not to mention 99% indoor growers don’t understand dli and how much light a plant actually needs. That’s all.
