So, I bought this timer, it's digital, and its giving me problems. I first set the time of the day. Then I program the on time. Then I program the off time. Then I plug in my lights, which are in the on phase, but they don't come on. I can manually overide but I don't know what will happen after that. Is there some trick to this? Does the timer not work until it hits its first on or off time? Its confusing. I hate timers. Why wouldn't it come on if it was in the time period to be on? Any help is appreciated.
BTW, The timer is brand new, about 15 dollars. It looks fine and programs fine, but I just don't get what I'm doing wrong.
