Digital Ballast issue

I dont think a digital ballast has a ignitor, are you sure its digital??
if you just bought it (new) last month, take it back to supplier
if it is a used 1000watt magnetic ballast, any 1000watt ignitor will work, just replace it & wire color to color.
most MH do not use a ignitor so if it is switchable, you should have a switch that disconects it.
some MH called pulse start as opposed to a standard probe start do use a ignitor but never saw 1 that was switchable & they use a different MH bulb.
befor anyone gets any not so bright ideas, using a MH pulse start bulb in a HPS ballast (or viceversa) may work for a few days but make sure your homeowners insurance is paid up.they sell different ballasts for a reason.
