different colored weed??

okay im just wondering . . while your growing is it possible to some how make your buds purple or even any other color just to make it look kool? or would i just have to get a strain that grows that color? im growing from bagseed right now

honestly i think it depends on the genetics of the plant or the strain as far as im aware of

I read somewhere that while flowering, if the room temp is dropped, it can naturally change the color of the buds to be a purple-ish color. i've also heard people putting food coloring in their water to change their plants color. remember in kindergarten growing celery from a glass of water and changing it's color with the color of the water? same thing

I do remember an experiment we did in grade school. We took non-toxic food coloring, added it to water and feed it to some plants we were growing. It did change the plants color. It was a long time ago, but I remember my plant turning blue. Again, we are talking YEARS ago. I think I will make it a future experiment of mine! And to think my 3rd grade teacher would be proud! Well, sort of.

yeah i think i might mix food coloring with my water . . . but my plant is only about a week old right now . . do you know when i should start doing that?> i really want some exotic looking bud . . haha i can sell for more . . ching ching

I don't know when to start, or if it would interrupt/slow the photosynthesis down. I was thinking about doing it to clone a few weeks after flowering. would be a good experiment though.

so whats the conclusion here? does it work? does anyone here with any real experience ie 5 years or more know of anyone actually doing this? i might try one plant if it does work blue northern lights would be funky

well that is with one strain of nirvana the case, "New Purple Power" or so, but from years back i know something that does the trick too i done that to a neighbour of me, pured blue die into his flowers and the flowers turned blue. he went crazy about that one so maybe some food die does the trick too. i bet it will be sucked up by the roots like the ink i used.
