I was looking at those,they're really nice,but I think I'm going to just build some buckets,it'll be much cheaper that way.

Thanks dude,it'll be a bit still before I start,I'm trying to read as much info and peoples journals and watch as many videos as I can before I get the tent and rdwc going. For now I'm just maintaining my father-in-laws grow in soil.

Lol yeah it's pretty cool,I actually don't smoke,I love the herb but I can't for work. He's pretty messed up in the head from being exposed to heavy metals from his old career and can't keep up with a grow anymore and weed is the only thing that helps the pain with out a bunch of side effects. So I took over the grow for him and have been going through a crash course in cannabis husbandry the past few months. I'd done a grow over 10 years ago and remembered this site last year so made a new account. Loving the people here, good people with good info.
 
I used Orca and Hydroguard my first grow and the stuff worked wonders. I personally feel you could ditch the H/G cause Orca has the same strain, plus more.
A mini fridge is going to piss you off so just step in with a chiller and do it right straight away. Honestly, I think if you ran sterile you could get away without a chiller, so long as your res isnt seeing 75+. Dunno about bennies but I ran without a chiller for awhile and was ok. I saw a huge growth spurt when I got one though.

Thanks for the info on your experience dude! Wherei live we only see 90°F days a few times a year and mid-80°'s is considered bad. We have very high humidity in summer though. Do you think a mini-fridge could handle an environment like that, in conjunction with frozen water bottles?
 
No I wouldnt bother with the mini fridge. By the time you buy a fridge and materials, spend the time doing it....you will be more than halfway to a chiller.
What kind of volume are you trying to cool?
 
(2) 5 gallon buckets and some kind of bigger tote for a rez. I've been looking at craigslist in my area and most newer mini fridges are $25-35, and hoses are pretty cheap. I've seen some some dudes have gotten a,I think, 10°F +or- a few degrees, drop after the fridge had a few hours to run. The cheapest chiller I've seen is, I think, $300. Damn,you think the videos I saw were misrepresenting stuff? I had my hopes up.
 
Do bennies leave any sign of their presence in the rez,buckets,lines?

Like how bad stuff will leave sludge,slime,crusty stuff,stringy stuff. You shouldn't see anything in your stuff right?
