lol.... your talking about selling pounds at gram eighth and ounce prices. Thats just stupid. Anyone that knows anything for Real about it will tell you: Price is based on quality and availability. There is some dank stuff going for 3000 a pound right now. And to grow all this five pounds your talking about is going to take more than just fuel costs. Nute Costs, soil Costs, set up Costs, pot Costs, seed/clone costs, other misc materials costs. Generators would only be useful in a remote place where you are growing indoors. The sun puts off better light than any HPS etc. and its free! If you start your adventure you will find yourself worse than screwed at the end. Your dreaming bro.... just dreaming.... even if you do get good amounts for the pounds, transportation costs, etc. your dream is becoming more ridiculous the more I think about it...

LoL. Everywhere in the world isn't just like where you live. Here, when dealers get chron, they sell it 60-70, even if it's not worth it quality-wise, and people here will buy it. I know a lot of people here... and that's how it works. Glad you're getting a pound for 3 grand, awesome, doesn't mean anything. You're kidding yourself if you think dealers everywhere make fair prices depending on quality and availability. Maybe in cali and colorado you could charge more for rare strains -- but here, no strain names are legit. People just make up shit to hype it up. And shit, like bearo said, even at those prices, people are always out to short you.. good thing I got some home grown...:eyesmoke:

solar growing:

224w solar panels - 1200 each X 6 =7200
this would power two 600w lights durring daylight...
you have to multiply that by 1.5 to account for vegetating during the shortest day of winter so total amount of solar panels you come to 9 (arpox.) better to aim higher than lower. 9 panels =10300

also these panels are about 3 by 6 feet, so if i would do this i would about 165 square feet of open roof space. to get a little over 1300w.

the other thing noone considers is veging in the winter. this is only if you are veging with HIDs in the winter. your ass will need batteries.
the battery you will need is 415 bucks and weighs 130 lbs. and can't be shiped by courier only frieght so thats mo bucks:(

this is iff you want to replicate the circumstances of growing on grid power. never having to give a fuck because you know you have power available.

personally, i would conform the grow op to be more effecient.
i would buy a small battery for 130 bucks and only the 6 panels and veg with flouros. the 6 pannels would be sufficient to run 12/12 HIDs, pumps, ventilation and the flouros. the battery is for the pumps, flouros and ventitaltion. maybe need another panels but no more than 1 extra.



this shit is VERY DOABLE!!! so someone with mad cash to blow do this shit and check in, get that kid who keeps on trying to grow in the PC case.

7200 for the panels + 130 for the battery = 7330

2 600w HPS = 400

pumps(2) 30-40 bucks

pots, medium, nutes and general suplies are 150+.

id say that you could set up a 18 plant, 1200w solar grow for about 8 grand. and you wouldn't need ANY grid power

Noise and Fuel are your top 2 problems!

Even in the middle of nowhere if someone hears what sounds to be generators there gonna go looking just out of curiosity! also a 2nd problem is the fuel with diesel on the rise I think this would be a stupid mistake and be non-profitable! unless obviously you rob a lot of lorrys fuel tanks.....

You're missing the power converter and the fact that those solar panels will never output the max power output that it says it will, as I said.. obviously no real experience. You'd have to look at atleast doubling the amount of solar panels- will def. need more than one battery, and you're expecting to have sunny skies most of the time..

yes, obviously, i have never mounted a dozen fucking solar panels on a roof. duh.

and yea you would need SOME extra panels to compensate for the rainy days, but double? where the fuck you live seattle?

as far as power converters, they are cheap.
maybe you would need an extra battery, also, not expensive.
also, even at 10 hours of sunlight a day, the panels would still pack an excess of 144w an hour or 1440w a day for use at night.

personally i think its possible a hell, just a budget issue

and a roof issue :) as in you better have a big one

if you know some shit about this please share, always been curious about growing with solar, i think every grower & wanabe grower has had this dream.

Yeah buddy, people pay 50+ (even $100) an 1/8 everywhere, and people nationwide pay $1500-$3000 tops per pound Everywhere. Im not talking about the people getting 5-50 packs, Im talking about the people buying 100 packs. Ls, Ms, Tx, Al, Ge, Fl, Ark, Ka, Oak, Or, Wa, Nd, Sd, Everywhere. I know, cuz I see them go out, I see the people negotiate the deals, packaging, shipping, the whole deal. It goes out worldwide. So I am sure you know a lot of people that pay a lot more than that, but thats just who you know, and I know for fact they go out 1500-3000 depending on how good it is, and where its going.
And if you've ever seen a 100 pack come in, and their telling you they pay 4+ G's for it, their just telling you that to make you think its worth more, and to get you to pay more, respect it more. After the growers, the mark ups start, and they don't stop usually either, unless like you said your in Cali or Col. Yeah sure there are a lot of in state growers that will charge whatever they wanna charge for their shit, but that equals out to such a tiny amount compared to what actually gets sold everyday...

dude that generator i linked you to is only 390 bucks thats really cheap i did alot of research and thats the best i found telling you its the best for you money check it out

you could get a little less than two lbs with that generator im guessing. it may be a 4500w but if you check the specs, it says 3300w max CONTINUOUS output,
minus about 1500 bucks for gas. suppose you could make a little change.

i have 3 1000 watt hps running direct on the generator and 1 using my power and i get alot more then 2 lbs guy you should really try aeroponics with AN nutes
