Hey guys so these plants in my closet are relatively close to the light as you can see.. I have them in the closet just for a few weeks in untill I can get them in the tent... anyways they started budding it seems like out of no we’re and these plants aren’t even a foot tall lol... is it becuause it was so close to the light? Or what you guys think caused this if not that... I’m not trying to reverse it just trying to avoid it from happened again... all the plants In closet are maybe a foot at that and all are atarting to bud at the sites and some getting white hairs

If they are autoflowing strains, they will flower regardless of light schedule. Also to flower non-autoflowing plants, they would need 12hours or more of uninterrupted darkness.

they are autos and I did everything the same as this picture here and this one is 4 feet... only difference is they grew in a closet closer to the light and there about 3 weeks younger then that plant that 4 feet tall... and the auto that’s 4 feet tall just now started budding and the ones in closet are like midgets compared to the other auto and there budding now too

Autoflowers will bud on a schedule, you can give them 24 hours of light and they'll still bud. Also when your lights are further away from the plant it promotes the plant to grow taller to reach the lights whereas when they are closer they bush out more. You have to find the sweet spot to get both. For my 1000Watts LED lights, the sweet spot is about 17"-20" inches away from the top of the plant. The distance differs depending on the lights you use.

No worries, bud is still bud haha. Also taller plants doesn't mean more yield. There are many other factors, don't focus on height alone. Height can also mean a smaller yield :)
