I have inline fan blowing into my 600 hps hood glass covered. Then ducting out the tent which I attached to the carbon filter standing outside the tent. Is this the right or wrong way? Any tips?

Is there a reason why your filter is outside? And I like to have my carbon filter attached to my fan and then blowing where ever I need it to go.
One negative to pushing as opposed to pulling through a filter is that the filter cleans the air before going through the hood. With the filter outside, the air through the hood is dirty, and that builds up on the glass quickly. Any dirt on the glass limits the light's efficiency,

I grow in a converted computer cabinet and space is very limited.
That's understandable then. You need to filter the air being pulled through the hood. I use a couple of pieces of furnace filter for doing this in these types of situations.

No. All I said whas there are negatives to the way you're doing it. I commented a possible solution to this problem in a latter post.

If you arent exhausting your lights separately, you may as well pull off the glass and just exhaust normally.
Ideally you would be pulling air through your lights full time with one exhaust fan and intake, and treating your grow space separately through the carbon filter.

Blowing into a carbon filters causes buildup of dust and debris inside the filter. Shorter life span due to clogging.

I run two stacked furnace filters on the outside with heat register filters on the inside.
One option would be to put an inline filter on the outside of your box ducted to the fan at the end.
So light -> ducting -> wall -> ducting -> in line filter -> ducting -> fan sucking. You can gorilla tape hepa material onto the suction area of the light to keep debris out.
While blowing into the filter can work, you are losing negative pressure which will reduce the overall efficiency of the fan and run a higher risk of odor leaking.

If you're blowing through the filter, then any leaks means smelly air under pressure leaking into the room.
If I didn't have room for a filter in the growroom, then I'd rig something up by putting the filter inside a Rubbermaid container or something. Draw air through the filter, exhausing air from inside the container, and then feed exaust air from the grow room into the container. Voila.
