Pretty cool , I never knew that . Plus its organic ! I wouldn't use it internally as the OP stated but would consider using it externally

Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth (Fossil Shell Flour) has many uses: in the household, with pets, on plants, around livestock, and for stored grain. It is totally organic and safe used internally and externally.
Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth is also used internally to remove parasites and worms from your pets without the use of chemicals.
It dehydrates fleas and ticks that come in contact with within 3 days. Food grade diatomaceous earth can be sprinkled in your home, on carpeting, on dogs, cats, and other animals, on their bedding, and in all dry outdoor areas that fleas congregate. If your pet currently has fleas, it is essential to feed food grade diatomaceous earth daily at double the recommended daily dose to address the worms your dog.

Imo this is an instance where the Food Grade label is being misused. Silica dust (such as DE) is quite bad for the lungs, so I challenge the claim of safety around animals. Asbestos is also "organic" ... cn

Please read this warning before recommending people dust their entire homes with DE... -----> LINK HERE <----

That's funny. I'd never heard of this until literally a week ago when mother bought some to keep anything lurking in our bedding/carpets, cat bed in check. She said she heard alot of people reporting improvement in digestion and their skin etc from addin it to their diet. Of course inhaling it really would not be a good idea, but it is kind of all over the house right now and I'm being forced to put it in all the food/smoothies.

Careful sweetie. I'd hate for anything to happen to you.

I see this stuff advertised in poultry magazines and on a chicken forum I frequent, (I thought I was on the wrong forum for a sec) I had never bothered to read about it before some stoner made a thread about it lol.
