Hey bud, I've maybe explained my aim poorly but I've not got the space for a bigger area.

In general I'm happy with how things are going into flower leggy isn't a problem with t5s.

Controlling tall specimens would be fun and I enjoy the challenge

I aim to do this by design more than chance iirc it was 11/12" tall.

Just an afterthought?

I used to grow and sex plants under my canopy surprisingly they didn't stretch anything like I expected?

Thanks bud I'm glad you enjoyed it, I'm only picking up again after some downtime dealing with fungus gnats so I'm looking forward to getting up and running again.

Hey bud I'll be starting my grow soon, Freaking CC sent me a t8 for my seedlings. Along with so much other stuff. Love your grows,your love of this plant shows is unbelievable. I grow outdoors so I've no clue with inside so we'll see how goes. Just gotta hook up this spiderfarmer exhaust with the control and find flex duct. Thinking of running kritcal kush and CC's Red eye Jedi but there F2 with everything else I have. Limited space so can't deal with male's so at least kritcal is a fem. Curious about that LVTK!

You post some of the best grow stuff. Always thinking ahead of the game or sorting through a thought. Best part is you share that.

Hey bud, nice one getting the T8 from cc they're really handy they can save you a pile of time preparing seeds and clones.

I've got gorilla skittles from cc here (3rd row from the back they've been growing away hassle free.

What medium are you going to be using inside?

Tbh you make as good a job as anyone your grows are damn impressive, you make it look easy!

Has or does anyone recycled their coco, i get its not for everyone myself included until i tried it.

I've been recycling my coco for around 3 years now, I've many reasons but mostly because it's so simple and no downsides that I've encountered or can even forsee now, occasionally you need to add some new coco in because you loose some with sieving.

Last night I sieved around 100ltr of 50/50 and 70/80ltr ± of 80/20 it took about 1.5hrs but I save around £50 each time i do it.

I use the guard from a 12" fan to sieve the roots out it works well it even gets the finer roots with a couple of passes.

I've a theory that the coco gets better with age because the microbial life increases, it's quite astonishing how lively it is under a microscope.

Try recycling you might be surprised at how easy you get your bag of coco back.

And it works great of course.

23rd December...

I put my seedlings into the flower tent today, my 2x2 tray doesn't fit in my 2x2 tent and i need more space, it does fit in my 2x3 but I've got clones in there and I didn't have time to swap everything around.

Anyhow I'm sure I'll get by with lower ambient temps using hid, the ambient is around 20⁰c and at canopy height the light warms the back of my hand nicely.

There's a couple of variegated plants still not looking great I still expect they'll come good though?

#2 lvtk/bd had a shakey start like its sister (on cup) but it's going to be fine.

I need to get them off the floor it's always cold down there.

Next generation is looking great.

I got me some of those pouches. I like starting seed in them.

I was planning on using Fox farms with added perlite. It's the only medium I've grown in other than promix. Or this local one they sell from Maines coast basically same but they add chicken manure which keeps plants fed on nitrogen for two extra months because breaks down what farmer told me anyways. I can get a huge bale of strait peat for 15 bucks but I know nothing in growing in straight p. I know I would have to rinse and soak them dry out from being high ph thats all I know about it. Im thinking would need a strong fertilizer with that. I would love to try other ways but keeping it simple for this run.

The sick looking ones aren't improving I'm going to take them out the tray and give them a week individual care then see what happens?

The slh I trimmed the leafs on isn't much different?

What size of pouch did you go for bud?

I like the pouches they're handy for seeds, clones and even keeping plants in.

I wouldn't be without them now they've earned their place in my grow.

I got the 4x4 ones. I'd like to have the larger ones for clones. Pretty handy item. Makes up potting a breeze.

26th December....

The sexes of some are starting to show @26 days after planting.

I'm sure I see boys and girls i need a few days to confirm it, what i think is a female Slh caught my eye I wasn't looking for the sex tbh but after a closer inspection i see what i think is a few more beginning to show sex?

While I was there feeding them I swapped the 250w mh for a 400w mh and I cut down two sick plants and moved a 3rd (lvtk) into 24hrs light.

If it catches up great if not its not a big deal.

I cut this one down

and also one of the worst affected variegated it looked like shit.

There's one other looks a bit suspect?

I've got enough that I can afford to loose a few, I suppose it'd be a bonus if they're male as I wouldn't feel I was losing anything.

I cut down 5 males today and confirmed a few females so I've 12 left now.

The slh side project is showing some difference since Wednesday
I suppose that was to be expected?

I'm sure at least 1 blockbuster is a male, obviously choice is preferable but I was thinking they're well enough worked that I'd expect a fairly consistent results?

Idk anything about breeding not even the basics but I'm going to cross exo and blockbuster they're made for each other, so here goes?

With females vegged in 12-12 then extending the light hrs doesn't have any effect they're only going from vegg to vegg so it's reasonable to expect the same with males I think?

Male's...i know they're technically in flower but the bottom growth isn't so I'm going to cut the top off and extend the light hrs and see what happens, either way I'm getting pollen it's only a matter of sooner or later, I'm kinda thinking pollinating the remains of a plant after flowering, you know pollinating the lower airy stuff after harvesting the top/s so it'd be sweet if it works out.

Storing pollen is probably a better option but idk it's humid af here humidity always had to be considered I'd be more confident with a plant to work with.

Jfc my local humidity doesn't stray far from 90/100% even seeds sprout in the fridge lol


It's difficult to maintain a given humidity when everywhere is humid, unless of course its easy to store say in the freezer?

I've never crossed anything before so I've a lot to learn but ideally I want to flower/seed small plants in a clone tent with t5s or under the canopy, im not really that fussed about it (beside exo x blockbuster) it wouldn't make sense for me to spend money on it?

Curious to see how this works out. Im willing to bet you can put the plant back in veg after you pollinate the larf buds. Maybe it helps speed up seed development? It sounds like a fun experiment.

Hey bud, I've actually read about people doing that, as in pollinating then re vegging the lowers untill they're ready?
that would be super handy If it worked as I've a small tent already lit up for my mother's, clones etc.
