I thought of rigging up a screen that had a curve built into it, like a transition on a skate ramp, so it would be almost level close to the cooltube and curve as it gets farther away unitl it's vertical or near vertical about 18-20" away from the tube. Train the plant to grow up that screen and train the side branching to go out as you go. I bet the finished plant would look a lot like one of Jig's pics that had a plant on a screen that was removed from his closet.

Especially if it was done with a so-called tall plant (like the NYPD I just ordered or a RBC) to get the most out of the stretch period.

:( sounds bad bro but hopefully the branches will fill in the gaps that where damaged. I'm sure they will be fighting for the light before long ;)

I think so too. I'm not too concerned saying as how there's 8 plants in a 2x4 tray, in a 4x4 tent with a 42"x42" screen. I don't think there's going to be too much a problem filling out the screen. ;-)

Thanks to you I went out and bought an vape tonight to try my BK98 on it to see what you were talking about....

I think I'm gonna be high for the next 3 days, lol

It got worst after I put my 2 month old hash in it as an experiment

first time I hit the vape I packed a full bowl and had to go to bed to try and sleep it off, lol. After that I started just putting a little in at a time.

Frustrated more than a bit right now. I will be changing things up yet again apparently.

I'm going to need more space at the house and will need to keep my harvests close together for a while so I need to cram a minimum of three flower setups and something to veg in AND a place for some moms. Thinking of going with three vertical setups all side by side along the 12' wall. I could then use the tents for veg and moms.
Either that or run three scrogs that are 3x6 all side by side with 18" in between them. That would leave me a 4x12 space along the other wall for the rest of the stuff.

Thoughts???

I don't know why I never got one before, it is by far the only way to medicate. I hadn't slept that well in a loooong time :weed:

I think I should come over, get real high and really think about it for a while...lol

That's not a terrible idea, lol. I'm not good for too much deep thought though when I'm high so it might not acomplish much.

I really want to do the three verticals but it will cost siginificantly more than three scrogs would. Scrog seems to be the most cost effective to get good yields but I think vertical grows get the largest yields per watt. It's just my opinion but it's based on reading numerous threads of scrog and vertical grows. A modified version of DWC (flooded tube) seems to be the most effective in vertical setups too. Jigfresh and Heath Robinson have a couple good threads to use to compare to scrog grows.

With this being said, I am pretty sure there will be three scrogs goin in over there with the two tents along then opposite 12' wall for veg and stuff. I'll end up with some extra space with either method too so it won't be super cramped in there when finished. Hopefully after a couple of runs in the scrogs I'll be able to put together the three verticals because I have something I've been working on that is related to veritcal gardens that IMO will make it far superior (for me at least) to a typical scrog.

Have a few updates pics to post:
This is the 40" tent at something like 4 weeks of 12/12.

This is the 48" tent that's all Jack Herer and White Widow at just about 1 week of 12/12.

This is the Scrog at 6 weeks or something like that.

I can only see 1 picture on this post, maybe its just me. Not sure what everyone else is seeing.

yeah bro can see all 3 now over the pond lmao ;) sweetness bro :)
Since you are familiar with the scrog idea and have had good success using it on individual plants, do you think I'd benefit more from running three 3x5 or 3x6 scrogs, each having a single 600 on a lightrail? Or, one 4x12 scrog with two 1000s on a lightrail?
The three smaller ones uses less power obviously but a lot of people swear by the 1000w HPS giving more dense buds and it would be close in terms of square feet of canopy (6' difference). I'm going to ask Whodat too since he's got a 4x8 with two 1000s going.
