Detroit. Good idea or crazy as hell?

Do it. Michigan is a MMJ state which offers Medical Cannabis to it's patients.

It's on like Donkey Kong..

If "Michigan offers Medical Cannabis to its' Patients", then Detroit can supply (heavily-discounted) Grow Houses to its' Caregivers. Time to get busy.

Should always buy low..and I doubt prices can get lower...but I would not want to ..would be worrying too much when I was not around..all it takes is some punk that tries to break in or breaks in and the police are waiting for you when ya get home.

Those are factors that need to be addressed. I am open to suggestions. I cannot have a firearm, but I will know my neighbors and many of them will be armed if they are not already. I will have cameras on everything, I do and will have dogs. Someone should usually be there. I will not be over on plant counts. Lots of shit I need to figure out though. The more input from everyone the better. I am doing this.
The neighborhood IMO is very safe. There are $100,000 houses being built all up and down the street. Not the HUD homes, but custom brick homes. There are two vacant houses right there, mine and one much worse. I will try to buy all of it if possible over the next year or so. This neighborhood has been improving for a few years now. Realtor told me first time he went to the house and was looking around a white dude from across the street asked him what the fuck he was doing. Hopefully the realtor doesn't just say that shit to every white person that he shows a house to. lmao.

Steel doors and burglar bars work great...combined with a couple dogs and should be cool... ...I am home often and have dogs that intimidate people, I am told often.." wow, those dogs look scary/mean" they are very obedient and I use to walk 31st beach 2 -3 times a week for years , when I lived in Chicago..right through housing projects and everyone would cross the street and stay far away...Most thieves are more afraid of large dogs than a homeowner with a gun believe it or not.motion lights are cheap and very effective.

Yes we install big motion lights first thing. I have two shepards, my male is a big boy. His dad was the search and rescue dog for marquette county and his grandpa on his moms side was a warren police dog. We lived down there a few summers ago for a semester at college and atleast once a week someone would stop and ask us if we bred them. Lots of neighborhood people would cross the street and walk away from the dogs. His bark can make some people piss themselves. I worry about putting him in danger though. Someone can bust a beer bottle into some hamburger and the dog is screwed. I will get another dog to stay outside though. I have another lot with it that is fenced in. (or semi-fenced in anyway. lmao)

This particular house I think I am going to completely gut and redo.
sled/sink would be cool as fuck with the right sled. Maybe a recycled house, with used tires.

It's hard to tell if I will be in it this year or not.

When I got there, we walked around it for 10-15 then left. I called realtor, we set up time. When I met him there we talked for a few and I pretty much figured I wasn't buying it before I walked through it. Then I went through it and it was fucked up, but I was shaking my head saying ya, good thing I drove down here, cuz my ass isn't going up $10.

It's a fanny mae, I need to occupy this fucker within so many months. I should probably see what I got myself into. I'm not too worried about it, I am going to rock this shit either way.

decent new homes being built up in the vicinity sure does help. will you have some room to do any outdoor urban farming maybe next year? there is a shortage of good veggies in dtown, but I believe a whole foods market was going in somewhere. it's difficult to get much delivery food in the UP. talk a dtown neighbor kid into removing all the fliers from door/porch every few days. maybe another jar.. j/k.

lmao. The flyers, holy shit. I would have shit rubber banded to everything on my front porch if I went up north for a few weeks.
I know about the whole foods and meijers. I really love randazzo's and eastern market. There is a kroger in grosse pointe real close by. For Grosse Pointe it is a pretty ghetto ass kroger though. If there were krogers in the UP I may have lasted longer.
I don't know about the urban farming. I would imagine. Industrial Hemp is needed through all that vacant land. That would turn shit around. I am mainly going to focus on basement gardening and buying more houses and/vacant lots. I wish I was down there to check that auction out, but there will be more.

You supposedly can cool and even heat (heard heat not as grt in colder climates) Year Around [cooling] with the Split-System Unit.
How are you going to install 'other' window unit in lower level? the heat exhaust and water become an issue. they can work ok through a wall if the back of unit is outside of hse.

very tricky. make the box as large as possible (floor to ceiling) to avoid overheating...
def not your normal recc application...
You could chill one lung room, then direct it to a day flo and then a pm flower room.
