Determining sex w/o preflowers

've seen a few posts by some long-time growers who say they can sometimes tell the sex of a plant without seeing the preflowers, and I was hoping someone would be out there. I have two bagseed plants and I can't wait around to be sure of the sex because my flower room is too small and doesn't have enough ventilation for three plants. One in particular is looking male because it grew so much faster than the other, which was germed and planted within the same week as the other. Also, its not nearly as bushy as the other. However, its been flowering for about a week longer and I still can't see much, and I've heard females will show late. I've looked at both with a magnifying glass and both have some kind of bulbs showing, but its still too early to really tell. However, the one in question has more spherical looking bulbs than the other, if that means anything. I have attached pics, I'm not sure if they are telling enough, because it looks like the two plants could be different strains. I know it might be too early to tell but I was hoping one of those old school long-time growers could help me out a little.

The one on the right is the plant in question. The other one is just hot.

Thanks!

Id say it looks male to me also.

I got the last male in my lil cab correct before it was put in 12/12 to dertime sex.

They just look different sometimes, skinny stretchy, wont bush up.IDK
After you get a bunch you can tell pretty good.

Thx Scarhole, I had read the same thing somewhere but I needed that second opinion. I'll just go with it and chop him down tomorrow.

It looks male, but no one can be sure till it preflowers. I had a space bomb that I was sure was a female because of how bushy it was, It really looked female but it turned out male. Tell you the truth, both your plants look male.

I think it would be worth it to just wait a week and see the true sex because if it's not a male, then that's a nice healthy looking plant down the drain. Besides there's always room with the use of LST, topping, fimming, super-cropping, etc. =)

You need to wait. There are no pre flowers on this plant to determine the sex yet. At this stage it could be either sex until the pre flowers start to show. Cutting this down without sexing would not be a good idea. Your original idea about the growth rate is not a very good indicator of sex.
