Determine sex in veg

Is it possible to sex a plant while it is in veg or do ibhave to flip to flower to find out if it is male or not?

Usually you can tell a female during veg if allowed to veg for long enough.

more often than not it’s around +7 weeks of veg.

Usually when the nodes begin to alternate sex will be viewable somewhere on the plant.

I had a male reveal itself at about 4 weeks veg, I was 95 percent sure but let it go another week and a few days into flower until I could confirm. As stated they can reach maturity in veg, this plant was the first of the 5 to start alternating nodes and first to show signs of preflower. 20220223_100435.jpg20220301_080604.jpg

Plants were 5 weeks from popping soil on the 20th, first pic was the 23rd suspicion of sac, second pic was today and you can clearly see the sac and the shaft.

Right on ! These were planted mid January so might start seeing something soon then, buddyvyold me they would show until flipped wasn't sure thanks for the response guys !
