Designing a 20 SQM Grow

I'm thinking to have 4-5x tables of 2 SQM each. Plus an area for a pump/stock tanks connecting to 2 dosatrons for A and B mixing/tool shelf.
Ideally the benches will be rolling so one can turn a wheel and move them over to make a walkway between rows.
I will plan to have about 600 to 800 watts per SQM with LED lights full spectrum with UR/UV. Also I'll have about 25-30 BTU of aircon. Perhaps 14+14 split types. And about 1000 Watts of dehumidifcation. It looks like I will need to have wiring for about 11,000 Watts+ to be safe. Please let me know your thoughts and ideas?

way nice I currently run a nice operation a little bigger then this. But in my opinion so there’s no heat issues put two mini splits one on each side of the wall that way one doesn’t over work it’s self . :weed:

You need space between the tables for access , a rolling or moving table just sounds like a disaster waiting to happen, i'd take one of the 4 and bump it against the single along the wall and space the other 3 out. or just x one of the tables completely. Are you running a big remote res or one under each table?

Water is heavy and I wouldn't attempt this unless it was on a concrete slab or it was designed with what your doing in mind, when it comes to the floor joists being overengineered or beefed up. If you only had 6" or 8" joists on 16"oc I'd be very nervous to set this up. I've personally seen a nice grow end up in the basement from the floor joist's failing from the weight.

Depending on your location in the world the ac may or may not need to be there, a big extractor fan worked fine for us when we were doing a 16x32 (ft), and used far less watts than the ac we had installed but we were above the 45th up north.

For just the lights you'd need close to 11k watts , the other devices would eat up a bunch more , prolly another 11k in addition . Electricity is going to be expensive af every month, Hopefully you have a way to pay for it. In legal states its hard to get rid of cannabis anymore, pot shops have ruined the prices you can get for top shelf. So unless you have it figured out or your still running bootleg I wouldn't just think that once you have product it'll just fly off the shelves, and will be super profitable like it used to be back in the day unless your in touch with runners or right across state lines from a no fly zone, even then the prices are way less than they used to be.

Make sure you have the time to oversee such a big room as it is a job in and of itself especially towards the end of a cycle

It sounds ok in theory but I'd seriously consider weather or not you REALLY wanna do it... I did very well as a medicinal grower in Michigan when it was in it's infancy , But we only went for 2 years before it just became way to stressful and not worth it to us, just not sleeping at night because the harvest was near and getting security notifications brings back memories I'd never wanna do again. Rippers were a serious threat towards the end of our little business adventure. They are always a threat but in legal states not so much as they used to be, depending on where you are it could be even worse.

It was a great experience for a while, the money was good but the honeymoon phase wore off pretty quick . I would never consider doing a self funded big room again, the times have changed and that ship sailed a long time ago lol.

I am located in a recently legal country and looking to open some dispensaries. Thanks for the warnings and words of wisdom. Its always good to think about.

This is on the ground floor. Although by using dosatron there cant be problems regarding weight of reservoirs.

I agree two Aircons is better than one.

We plan to keep it closed for ventilation, likely with co2 enrichment.

Ya closed rooms are way safer the smell stays in the room when built right. Passive air rooms usually work when you don’t have Neighbors. Mine is a closed room as well a 20 lighter with cO2 I love it best room I’ve ever had won’t ever go bk to passive air room’s.

Were you still profitable at the end? We’re starting in a state that is about to go fully legal once the regulators sort their shit out, possibly by EOY. But I’d like to think it would be something I’d do for longer than 2 years.
