Depressed over advanced LED xml 350

I ordered an xml last week and was super happy when I got it in the mail like a little kid on christmas. When I plugged it in two of the panels did not light up so I called and was given instructions to repair it. I adjusted the cord but the next morning it stopped working again so I had to take all the screws and tighten it again. This morning the panel would not come back on and it looks like I need to send it back and hopefully get another in by next week sometime so I need to put my babies under cfl bulbs while I wait for another. I'm going to see if maybe I can get a discount on a xml600 and try to upgrade since I don't really think the 350 is big enough for my tent. Overall I'm freaking out and depressed and will call tomorrow and hope that the guy can work with me on it. If you do a quick search on the customer service its probably no secret why I'm so worried and my ptsd paranoia is not doing me any favors. Best case I get a deal on a 600 worst case it goes awful and I end up just getting an HPS like the rest of the world. I will keep you guys posted and will try to be as polite as possible on the phone. Anyway happy growing guys I just wanted to share my experience so, maybe writing a little bit will help me work it out. And worst of all I'm out of bud :(

Thanks guys will keep you posted on the bright side it runs super cold the tent never got up to 70 and it was 80 outside. Love the light I just dont wana get shafted but I may just be paranoid about all this and it may work out. Will find out tomorrow morning.

You have done some grows with those? Honestly I'm open to most things I just knew this was something I was willing to invest in.

So It's one of those days and I head outside to mow the lawn and the riding mower blows up and shoots oil all over the place and I feel like I'm in one of those insurance commercials :cuss: At this point the day actually gets a little funny , so I went inside took a bath and played some monster hunter. Tomorrow should be a better day 8)

Wait... The leds brought ambient temps down 10 degrees? Good luck with the lights bro!

nah man its the airflow and my basement has a little air condition but its not great. But you can see the high and low temps for the day compared to outside.

Ok so I got ahold of the guy today he was actually really cool. I told him I wanted to upgrade anyway and he offered me 10% off of the xml 650 I wanted saving me over $100. So sending it off tomorrow and the other should be here by friday. I think I was just being paranoid everything is turning out just fine.

Yeah my first grow almost was all cfl and I didn't get the gear I have now until about 8 days ago so I'm positive my next grow will be many times better. The xml 650 and is a behemoth so once I get it I will put pics and document my next grow. I made a journal but its not much too look at atm since only 2 of my plants made it and one was a boy. https://www.rollitup.org/t/first-grow-with-list-of-all-my-mistakes-made-learning.873928/#post-11668180 is my first grow but it's not gona blow your socks off. That was on like day 5 or 6 of flowering I think so I will post more pics as the month goes on. Now that I have the right stuff and much more knowledge I think my next grow will go very well.

I got a 100 watt from advanced, i also got some cheaper 400 watt apollo's. The advanced lights are much nicer, you will like them.

When i got one of the apollo's, half the lights werent coming on so i called them and sent them a picture to show it wasnt working and they sent me a new one that worked and told me to call fedex to send back the broken one but that sounds like a lot of work so i still have both the lights.

Yeah those pics are like 5 days under the 350 and the change was drastic from just a few days and my paranoia was just that since the guy on the phone was very nice and even offered to send me a new light, repair part or a discount on an upgrade. I wanted the upgrade so come friday I will be the proud owner of that 650. They are the only LED I have ever used and I an tell they are top notch. Do you have a grow journal?

Its a true like 600+ wat too some guys on youtube were testing them and comparing them to hps 1000. In my 4/4/7 this will light up ever corner so I'm super excited they are picking up the broken 350 tomorrow and the 650 should be here friday. He banged off like 10% so that sorta kicks ass too. I had just heard horror stories about the customer service but I think its jut one person in particular.

My main thing is I'm not sure if I can use this for starting out my seedlings and clones or if its too powerful and will kill em. I plan to take it outside in the pitch back and have my girl record the brightness lol. I think I may have to start my babies with cfl and move em to the led after not sure will keep you guys posted. But with all the great equipment I have picked up in the last couple weeks I promise my next grow wont be as pathetic lol. I think the knowledge I got from my first grow will be worth more than the couple ounces I end up with. Another thing is I'm not sure what kind of height to set the light at I been having the 350 at 28 inches with great success but I think the 650 will be another animal.

this was my last run. I have added 200watt optic since. I bought a kind for my 1st light then 2 rw150 from area51 and now on to cob units! monos are really a thing of the past. Vero293k ran at 2.1 is my favorite! So far! There are way better than advanced!overpriced ineffiecient hotbox ! See I got one-KIND- !And I wouldn't buy another!GEDC2589.JPG
