Setup:
400 watt MH at 1.5 feet away
High Temps (I'm working on it) 85-90 with lights on 78-82 lights off
18/6 scedule
35-40% Humidity

They are 15 days old from sprout. Roots are touching the water now, 6 gallons in 10 gallon tote. Germed in rockwool. PH 5.6-5.8, distilled water.

The three plants in the front are stunted, the three in the back have really picked up. My camera died so I was not able to get a full shot. One plant has very yellow tips (see photo) this is about the size of the three in the front. The other photo shows the growth difference with the three in the back but has yellow veins. I have fed them 2 oz of AN micro grow bloom last week and 4 oz of mighty crobes beneficial microbes (really helped with root growth).

I am doing a res change tomorrow. I have superthrive as well and would take any suggestions.

LOL...I know about the temps. I wanted to know if I am over or under feeding them. I know I was over watering them with the pump but I've taken the pump out.

Unless anyone gives me other advice, I'm going to lower their nutes and add a drop of superthrive

I would just back off on the nutrients and wait it out. She'll probably improve within a week.

Good luck.

Yea need to fix temp (as you already know) raise humidity a little 40-50% atleast for veg, and no nutes yet bud, its not said often but the first week or two are actually still the seed/sprout stage and they arnt realy in the veg stage yet thats why in the first pic it looks burnt.

The plant in the first pic has grown overnight. I really think the drip tube was causing over watering and burn but I dont know why it is only happening to the three plants in the front. The three plants in the back are the size of the plant in the second pic.

Anyway, I cut the drip tube out and she has responded well. I'm not going to add any nutes this res change but what about beneficial bacteria? Can I still add that? Should I give them a drop of superthrive?

This is my first grow so I'm still learning alot. Technically, when do they move from seedling to veg stage and can tolerate 1/4 nutes? I've been reading so many different answers on this.

Personally I don't feed any nutes or artificial feeds whatsoever for at least 3 weeks after germination, sometimes longer. Even then the solution I give is less than what the bottle says. I can't really advise on the superthrive or bacteria you're using - my soil has all the plant needs for probably 60% of a its life cycle. It's probably why a lot of plants I see in this section have nutrient burn and none of mine do.

One of the best lessons I learnt in my first grow is not to give them too much love and attention, just provide sufficient conditions and allow time to do the rest. Your trial and error approach is the only one there is, so next time you won't have any of these problems. Use tiny nutrient concentrations on a routine basis and grraaddually increase it until you're happy that you're not over-doing it.

1) Heat, your babies don't like high heat like that. When they get older and more mature they can take more heat. 2) Definitely cut back on the nutrients. The beneficial bacteria that you added attaches itself to the roots of the plant and causes it to retain more water and nutrients. This is a good thing but also bad under certain circumstances. Like your case, you can't give little plants high amounts of nutrients especially coupled with bacteria, its making the problem worse. Your fine in giving the plant the regular dose of bacteria because the bacteria is not a form of nutrient. Instead you should be more concerned with the amount of nutrient going in. 3) The plant on the left looks like it might have been over-watered and the plant on the right looks like it is getting to much nitrogen but, it sounds like you've got that fixed. 4) Make sure you have good air regulation in the your grow room, with hydroponic systems humidity can become a quick problem later down the road in late veg/early flowering stages. 5) Add an airstone to the water to allow the roots oxygen and promote a better bacterial environment.
