Dense Buds

I have not been growing long but can see a big difference in most commercial buds and what I've grown as far as density. I've recently stumbled upon the discussion of PGR's. Is there a good natural pgr that can be used to grow more dense buds?

Since my crop will be CBD smokable I may not have the option of going later because of low thc limits
i shouldent worry about that, the CBD counteracts the effects of the THC, this is of a concern to me also, as im not looking to get high, just want the medicinal effects.
so leaving it longer will inreace the thc content, it shouldent be enough to worry about

You do not need hormones or weird chemicals to make rock hard density. You do need adequate lighting, proper conditions, and patience. It starts in veg phase with tight nodal spacing so adequate intensity is needed from jump street. Keeping temperatures optimal also helps avoid loose bud structures. Wait until the buds are fully ripe; that takes about 10 weeks minimum indoors.
Who is enforcing these “limits” and if you are so worried about it why bother growing?

Who?
The US government. They tend to be thorugh. I'm "worried about it because it's a cash crop. Some of us still need to make a living these days

if its under a license, then you should have a list of regulated seed your allowed to grow under that lisance. if your growing hemp, then you dont have to worry so much about the thc content, as there bread to be under that .3 % thc

I wish, you still have to harvest them at the right time or they go "hot" this is a problem for nearly every licensed hemp only farmer. Seems this conversation has devolved rather quickly from my question about natural PGR's. Let me worry about why

It's adequate light and time, that's the only thing I've found. Genetics makes a difference but time really makes the biggest difference. I don't know what to tell you.

Thanks for chiming in gogo. Adequate lighting I have, unlimited time to grow them and allow them to go beyond legal limits of thc I do not. Do you have a suggestion of Natural PGR's? If not, I'm good.

i cant see a way of getting around the problem . you need extra time for buds to fatten up. making sure the plants have adaquate nutes during flowering is hlf the battle. i posted a question about plant boosters used at the end of flowering and larger buds, but from that i got no real definitive answers that they do in fact increase flower production, which would equal dencer buds
so do you have to do liquid chromatography on each indevidual plant to make sure there within the thc limit?

As time goes on and you become a better grower you'll realize that base nutrients will get you from start to finish with no problems. I'm growing for profit too and I don't need any PGRs to grow dense nugs. Sufficient lighting good grow room conditions good genetics and base nutrients is all you need.

They use to sell PGRs at hydro stores called pbz, paclobutrazol, but it's a known carcinogen and ethical growers don't use it. It would keep the plants from stretching and some people said it gave denser buds.

The alfalfa that was mentioned has triacontanol in it that's a PGR as well. It won't really affect bud density though. If you want to do some research into triacontanol and you decide you like it you can avoid the alfalfa meal and purchase triacontanol powder along with polysorbate 20. You'll be able to find directions online on how to mix it.

Density is genetics and letting the plant finish. I started adding 2 more weeks to my flowering schedule and density (and yield) increased significantly. Natural PGRs would be Kelp and Alfalfa.

We dont need it on each plant, they take about 20 samples of plants out of each 100 in each strain which they've deemed an adequate sampling. If a plant is not substantially similar to others posed as the same strain they will take additional samples. Essentially, if all those samples are below .3% the rest are likely to be within limits. And yes, the use HPLC and use a thca x.877 + thc

Natural PGRs would be seed sprout teas. Corn provides cytokinin, others provide gibberellin and abscisic acid...if you research and do process of elimination you may find the right ratios or formulation that helps tighten up your buds.
Personally i just use soybeans in my SST cuz i have a lot of soybean lying around. I know the shit works at boosting growth first hand, but ive never cared enough to delineate which SST ingredient boosts which desired outcome. I germ a shitload then halt them by putting them in the freezer, thawing a handful (26g or 1oz) at a time to make my foliar spray.
