There is no such thing as "partial birth abortion". There is just abortion. The decision whether or not to have an abortion is made by the woman who is carrying the fetus. That is all.

Regarding your histrionic post, there is zero evidence that healthy women in the US are opting to abort fully formed 40 week healthy fetuses. I'm having a discussion with another person on this board regarding his willingness to simply believe without facts. Seems you fit that category too.

This might be true in most circumstances, but in politics this is simply who wants to continue their career and who wants to risk being voted out based on who they follow.

Pelosi is a moderate Democrat by most standards. She opposes universal health care, legalizing marijuana, and campaign finance reform. The overton window has been moved so far to the right, anything but far right policies "scares the GOP". Democratic "leadership" caves to right wing pressure because their donors interests take precedence over constituents

You're right, but it's not enough. In order for a Democrat to win in 2020, they will need to be anti-Trump & have a bold progressive message.You have to bring out the progressive base to win, the only way to do that is to offer progressives something they want, like Medicare-for-All, a new green New Deal, investments in infrastructure and education, campaign finance reform, a living wage, universal higher education, etc.

So be aware of that when you vote in the next democratic presidential primary. As of now, if Democrats elect another new wave, centrist Democrat to face Trump in 2020, they will lose like they did in 2016.
