Delicious seeds suger black rose grow

I'm thinking of doing one in soil and one in a simple 5 gallon hydro bucket. I've only ran hydro once but it was many times larger than the soil grown plant the clone came from. Seeds have sunk to the bottom of the cup so I hope to see them cracked later tonight.

I'm tempted to try a hydro myself. I have everything I would need, pump, buckets, nutes, expanded clay, tubing etc etc I just can't get myself to take the leap. lol :) I guess I'll be sticking with Fox farm and sunshine mix for now :peace:

Its easy to do and this is coming from a new hydro grower. I just used a 5 gallon bucket and placed an air stone in it. Changed the res once a week and that was it. Go light on the nutes and you shouldn't have to worry. If using water from your faucet, just let it sit uncovered for at least 24 hours to rid it of chlorine. I say go for it! You'll love the outcome. I cloned my critical jack and she put out over double than the soil in the same amount of time.

Ok, that's simple enough. My biggest concern is maintaining proper pH. What do you use? Pen, strips? :peace:

I grew out a few of these last year. Very nice strain with a sweet/fruity smell and taste. The yield was ok, not the best. I woul recommend topping it at least once at lettng it veg at least a month.

Figured I'd bump the thread with an update. SBR seedling popped the night before last and she's looking good atm. Nice broad leaves right off the bat compared to my other seedlings (La diva, 2x Hawaiian skunk haze) and broader still then my Green House's Train Wreck which has a decent Indica genotype as well. She hasn't stretched as much as the others either; still very close to the ground even for a seedling. She is sitting in light warrior getting just water. I did just get my 5 ml Roots Organics master pack from Aurora so I'm eager to get started spoiling this girl with quality organics but I'll give it another 10 days or so :bigjoint: Temps in veg room are Low 72 and high 82 Degrees F atm. Humidity is at 25% :( weather is starting to warm up outside so I'm going to have to do something about those rising temps. Hope the other little Sugar Black Roses are doing well! Pics soon. :peace:

Here she is. 1.5 days from sprout. :bigjoint: Note the ridiculously broad leaves. In Marijuana Botany the author cites studies that link broader leaves in the seedling stage to a lower calyx:leaf ratio (less bud). Hopefully this doesn't turn out to be the case. :peace:

Sorry I didn't get back sooner but my family had a horrible stomach virus. So both seeds popped. They're currently in rock wool cubes and I'm waiting on them to sprout. I've decided to run both in hydro as opposed to one soil and one hydro. I'll update with a pic in a week or so when there's something worth taking a pic of.

Bumping the thread in case we lost anyone during the reboot. How are all the little roses out there doing? Mine did have a few cold nights but is back on track. I'll post some pics soon. :peace:

Well I was late as hell on getting them out of the cups of water and into rookwool then late from rockwool to hydro buckets because of a severe virus that hit the entire family one after another. She's doing fine now and about 2inches tall with her first set of true leaves. The second will be placed in hydro in a day or two because I didn't soak enough hydroton. It's the same amount I used on the last run of hydros but it won't fill them this time. Anyways, I'm getting back on track and getting back to normal now after catching up on the last week or two. I also have a few other strains a little ahead of the SBR but they'll all get the same flower cycle.

My SBR just popped. It was from the rude bday promo - I'm planning to cross it with a male Jack Herer... Jack Black, but I do hear the smoke is pretty unique; black domina is a hell of a strain
