Dehumidifier CFM

Hey guys

I'm trying to get a new grow up and running but my humidity is out of control. I thought the split type would help but it only brings the RH down to around %64 at best.

I plan to have the plants in a 5x5 tent inside an air conditioned 9x9 room, if anything i'll probably just use the damn tent frame.

My question is would a 30 pint dehumidifier rated @ 106cfm work or should I go ahead and get a 50pint rated @ 206cfm? If I keep running exhaust out of the room it would be about 96cfm at %35 power. Fuck I hate thermodynamics. Could anyone chime in and help me out? Wouldn't running exhaust pretty much cancel out the dehumidifier? fml

Id opt for a 70pt one. Not that much more to purchase and will run less due to better efficiency. Then you also will be covered for the future. I just picked up a home one from Amazon for $230 thing is a monster at pulling it out. Beware tho most are cheaply made and will only last one to two years so I opted for the 3 year warranty for an extra $12

And you can experiment. I ran mine outside the tent and let the ventilation controller run based on humidity and temp but was seeing a little cooler temps than I liked, so I moved the unit inside the tent and it runs significantly less but does take about 15 min to pull it out.

If your ventilation is kicking on quite often you'll be better off outside and letting the air vent do the work.

Thanks bro! that gives me a better idea of how to go about it, never had to deal with temps/humidity this high

No problem I've been learning a lot as I go to as I'm very new but this was a learning curve for me a few weeks ago and just sharing what I've found worked
