Defoliation yay/nay?

defoliation is useful for smaller spaces to get higher yields and almost as importantly cut down on hand trimming. 1 big bud is faster to trim than a bunch of larfy popcorn. And some lighting lacks penetration so its best to have a canopy of fat colas and bare legs under it. For max cola density etc. I just trimmed these girls this morning on day 22 of flower (GG4 and King Tut). Now i will leave them alone until finish in 7 to 8 weeks.

I’m growing with thc bomb not sure how the strain handles it. In my picture about it’s actually 3 plants in single 5gal fabric pots. They are all so different plants. Left one is so much smaller it’s actually on top of 2 bricks to get it the same height as others. Right one obliviously doesn’t like heat much and the one at the front is just a mutant that’s twice the size that loves to be fed lol so it’s all a experimenting for me so I can only give it a go and work out what works best for each plant.
How much do you defoliate on your plants?
My Strawberry I can strip down hard... Gotta start slow. This is something to barrow from.

Yea..don’t strip them. You’re two weeks into flower with plants that probably still have mites and temp/humidity issue that you may or may not get in check. Worse thing you can do is add another potential stresser. Your pics won’t load for me. Seems that upper leaves are ok but lowers are drooping. Am I right? I tend to think defoliation is best done a week before flip. Can take the plant a bit of time to kick it back Into gear after a stripping. Even a smaller stripping of bottom crap on a stressed plant can slow it...all kinds of problems can show themselves in unlucky cases. If I strip, I do a week before 12/12 so they’re going in strong and maybe 2 and half weeks after flip for a weak shoot here and there. That being said, if my plants are getting fed And watered right..good airflow..they are happy in humidity ranging from 30% up to 80s in veg and flower. This last grow was 30-40% start to finish with temps in higher 70s. Leaves prayed the whole grow. I’m talking fan leaves lower down on branches praying kind of praying. Lol. The mold will hit you in flower with the higher humidity though. You mentioned high heat..low heat..high humidity. Which is most often? High heat? How are they drinking?

Ended up giving them some defoliation. Have kept up on removing mites. Recently put in new tower fan to help move air around to keep temps down. Installed a wireless dehumidifier and damprid box. Temps are around 22C-26C and humidity has been around %45-%60. I only put the humidifier in last night. Also installed my rapidled far red initiation puck 3 days ago. 15mins on before lights, 15mins after lights out. I think they seem to be doing well.

1) day I defoliated (last Sunday)
2) last Wednesday (before red puck)
3) today
4) the same plant that was suffering heat stress last week. (today)
5) red initiation puck
