Defoliation day 1 flower

Hey guys I did a defoliation a few days ago but it was mostly under the canopy under the net let them bounce back then switched I friend had a look at them and reckon I could have taken more fans up too is it to late to bother with them already starting there flowering stage or can I give them a trim, they are only in there first 12 hours on right now so hasn’t even been a day of flower cycle yet

It's not too late. You can defol as much as you need in the first 2 weeks of flower. Try to leave them alone after that.

Sweet thanks I will upload a photo and if you could let me know how much more I should be taking off before the lollipop at around 2 weeks for final defoliation I would greatly appreciate it

There are people that strip every single fan leaf off the plant on day 21 of 12/12 with success. I personally go through all through early flower and snip away branches that are obviously not going to produce without any hesitation. I prefer plucking only obstructive fans that are blocking a cola if I'm' unable to move the colas. Other than that, I try to avoid plucking leaves other than on the lower third of the canopy.

Went through last night and gave them a decent defoliation taking older larger fan leaves under the canopy that where getting no light and blocking air flow and some from the tops that where blocking bud sites from receiving a good amount of light, light just turned back in half and hour ago checked them and not a single plants is phased at all standing tall and soaking up the rays almost looked happier to me lol that will be my last time pulling anything from then until day 21 where I will go back and do the same thing whilst focusing on cleaning up under the canopy for better under canopy air flow

Lollipop to get big colas, you're good with trimming until it starts producing good flower, then let it just bud out, slightly trimming undergrowth that's just taking up nutrients from the tops (colas). You want all the main nutes going to the tops, anything that's doesn't seem good light is taking energy away from the good buds, and they'll just be light and airy.....

Im not trying to be rude man, this is all love, but that plant looks awful. With a stalk that big and the whole tent and light to itself you should be getting close to a pound out of that plant. By the looks of it when its done you'll be lucky to get 5-6 zips. Leaves store energy to use to make the buds. Buds themselves barely photosynthesise if they do at all Those little tiny sugar leaves barely do anytning cause 90% of them is burries in the bud. The fans you removed are the powerhouse of the plants bud production, Im sorry you were misinformed and you'll only harvest 1/3 of what you would have harvested if you didnt defoliate everything and just tied it down properly.

Are you speaking of mine? I've done this 18 times and got a pound from each grow. Maybe the pictures aren't doing the justice. Each of these 11 colas are already over an oz. , and they're only less than half way there... this is hydroponic growing, bud. My stalk is that way due to the way I train. To each their own, but my way works very well. I have videos to prove the size and weight at harvest and cured. Last plant was at 545 grams. Same exact method.

I wasnt trying to be insulting. If you're getting a pound then those pictures do no justice and its hard to believe from those pics.

I defoliated my autoflowers more than I should have, still ended up with close to 600gs off 3 plants. I defoliated every week of flower probably.

My next run I'll try not to defoliate and see what happens from there.
