Defoliating an auto early flower stage?

Hi All,

would it be wise to get rid of some excessive leaves and popcorn buds, or should I just leave her go. I’ve heard mixed opinions on defoliating auto flowers.

I would personally remove the inner fan leaves blocking the budsites below. The light won’t be unused as it’ll hit the leaves below. Just make sure you don’t defoliate to the point of light coming thru the canopy and hitting the tent floor, that’s wasted light.

Mixed opinions are because if u grow a 1ft tall shrub it probs ain’t worth defoliation. Autos vary a lot, some can take more training than others.

You can leave the lowers and once tops are mature let the bottoms ripen, or you can clear it up at the bottom and harvest all at once. Choice is yours
