I was reading about re-circulating deep water culture and one thing they mentioned was that the nutrients can concentrate at the bottom of the water because the air might not provide enough water circulation to keep the nutrient solution well mixed.
My Blueberry and Strawberry Cough in DWC are not producing buds as large as those in RDWC or soilless, even though the DWC clones are longer in flower, taller and have 3 gallons of water per plant while the RDWC clones have only 1 gallon of water per plant.
I'm using two air pumps on one DWC plant, 7000cc for 3 gallons of water. I would think that's enough air - does anyone know what would cause buds to be very small in DWC? They're covered in trichs, just small compared to younger plants and plants in soilless (B'Cuzz).
I worked a long twist tie through the root mat of the Strawberry Cough, and tied on a couple of ceramic weights. I'll leave the Blueberry with the roots floating and see if weighing the roots helps or hurts.
