This is my timing too.

It fits in around me. I work 8-5, my son goes to bed at 7, I mix my nutes at 730 and I feed at 9.

Still got the rest of the evening to chill out.

I check my garden for 5 mins every day and when I feed it takes 30 mins.

I feed roughly every 3-4 days at present.

Run them during the night. This will keep the heat & cost down as well as keep you out.

7-7 is what I do now. Gives me time to feed/check them before bed and keeps me from "checking on them" every hour.

Ok I have a question. What do u recommend I do. I currently do 11am to 11pm lights on but I want to switch it over to 11pm to 11am because of heat issues. Should I keep my lights off until tomorrow night? That'll be a rough 22hrs from now. That change shouldn't cause no problems should it?

You can either do an extended dark period to get to where you want or adjust an hour each day until you reach your target time.

powers cheaper in the middle of the night when less people are on the grid. plus temps are cooler at night... and if u have and led green light who care. i have to work in my garden at night vertical is just to bright for me even with glassses.

i have mine on 10 till 10 at night other wise its annoying mixing up nutes etc late at night if a plant gets dry. but if heat is a real issue just set it to 9 at night to 9 in the morning.

Absolutely agree. Power is cheaper at night in the summer & temps are cooler, both important factors.

Yupp. But also agree that its a pain in the ass to mix and water late at night.. Or even a better a friday or saturday and your tryin to go out and rushing to do everything.. hahaa. My solution is a 44 gal res with a 520gph pump and my handy dandy wond when im not fiddling with rdwc. I love hand water for the simple fact it forces you to interact with your plants more.

Although I don't have a son, the rest of this sounds almost identical to what I do.

I'm on 6pm to 6am... I'm up in the morning getting ready for work right at lights-off. I close the door to the storage area my tent is in at lights-off, and open it at lights on, just for better airflow when the light is on to keep temps down (temps at lights-on are 75).

I generally have a quick peek at the plants to make sure nothing is too close to the lamp, then do my work between 7-8. Five minutes on non-feed days, 30 mins for feeding.
