Decent grow room?

So bascially my space is about 5ft deep x 7ft tall x 8ft wide. Figure id split that big ole room in half and have one be a veg room and one be flower room, already got a 400watt light for flower room and some 2 and 4 tube t5s with 40 watt cool tubes. Im planning on having a continual grow going on so my flower room is never empty for longer then a day, I was wondering if about 7 to 8 big plants or more, how do I find out how much electricty am I gonna use and how do I fond out what to get for ventalation, also nutes whats a good brand that comes as a whole set from begging to end.

Depending on how big these 8 plants are, you might want to get a better light. Like a 1000 watter. 400 watts would be good for 4-6 plants unless you're doing a SOG.

Nutes try general hydroponic, good price, advanced nutrients, proven but expensive, or holland secret, cheap and effective.

I'd go with 1X 600W MH + CFL side lighting for the Veg Room, and 1X 1000W HPS + 1X 600W MH for the flowering room.. and also a UV-B tube or 2 in there if funds allow it I recommend either CANNA or Dutch-Pro for your nuits neither are too bad on the wallet and both give great results! You may also find an A.C comes in handy to help cool the room/s..

How many plants do you want in each of the rooms ie/ Veg room & Flower room ?? for the space you have I'd guess 4-5 plants per size!?? Also do you plan to grow in Soil or Hydro ?? - STELTHY

Thanks guys, at the moument im in the process of cleaning out where im going to be build this its off a heavy duty shelving unit thats im going to frame out I plan on doing soil at first once I see how effective it is I might go hydro, I plan on doing alot of kush and smaller strains like that. I was thinkin maybe going with a 600watt hps for flower room and some cfl's 32watts and a few t5's with 4 40watt tubes. One done cleaning I will get pics up and draw out the rooms on them. I might even have sone cfls in the flower room heard that it give a lil better trych color.

you can use hydro nutes in soil. If you plan to move up to hydro I suggest you just buy hydro nutes. Just follow the ordinary feed schedule for soil, feed every second watering or so and move up every week

The once every five minute thing is just for the plants to have enough CO2 to live. You also have to take into consideration the fact you are trying to cool the room too. If you're air exchanges once every five minutes you will have a burning hot room with a 400watt light. I exhaust my room with 2x600watt lights with a 747cfm fan and also have another 250cfm running through my air cooled hoods. If my house is 70 degrees its like 75 degrees in the room. If I had any less exhaust my room would be way hotter. There is a chart on cannabisculture.com that tells you how many cfm you need to keep your room a certain amount of degrees above ambient temps.
