Looking for a good dehumidifier at a decent price. Does anyone have any experience? My humidity is at about 70 lights off, 50 lights on. I want to get that nighttime humidity down. Im running in a 4x8 tent.

Kenmore makes great dehums. They are not loud and do a good job. They come in 30, 50, and 70 pint sizes. Get the ones with out the water pump though, the water pumps are noisy and fail frequently.

Yeah it is a window a/c.
like mine .....if u look on it it should have 3 modes
fan...just a fan
cool..compressor is running and the water that freeze on it helps cool the room more effectively
dry ...dehumidifier function it is what makes that water drop out the back (this water will set off dogs so where it drips u need something like jasmine flowers and roses to make it not smell and dogs do not want to poke nose in there) worst case now and then mix used coffee grounds into the soil where it drips

when your lights go off turn it to dry ....see what that does before u fork out 300 plus bucks (odds are u are running energy saver so when the room cools off the AC shuts down and the RH gets up there ) try the dry mode........if it drops it too low change to the cool mode with out energy saver and make sure the AC is tilted backwards and u removed the water tray plug (that should switch between cooling and fan mode so tilted back like that the water will drain out)

Unfortunately the a/c im using is a basic model. It has low fan, high fan, low cool, and high cool settings. I am thinking of investing in a newer model.

i go for the AC before u get the dehumidifier

just know those older models do not pull the power the newer ones does so odds are unless it is 6000btu or under u will need a 2nd breaker to run the AC
if u are running a big op u know 10x10 flowering or something u might think of a mini spilt 2 ton it only a little more then a 10,000 btu window shaker

Slightly used dehuies can be found on craigs list. I bought one a guy bought to dry out his carpet after a leak. Only used it a week. 72 pint..$40 bucks...sweet.

I bought a dehumidifier online from Target. It cost $30-$40 with shipping & handling. All you do is hang it up in your tent and plug it in to an outlet to recharge. Its made for a 300 sq. Ft. Area. I noticed towards the end of its cycle, the humidity can drop to 40% max. For a small object, it really takes the moisture out of the room very well. It has a 4 star rating. Plus it decreases the chances of mold significantly.
