Decent $20 Digital PH Meter?

Is this meter good enough? They sell them at petstores for 20 bucks.... Just wondering if they were decent

This handheld meter measures pH and temperature and includes 4.0 pH buffer solution in a sponge embedded in a clear cap. Meters feature waterproof housing, a measurement range 0-14 pH, digital calibration (push button), large LCD screen and a auto-off, data-hold function and low-battery indicator. Meters are three-point factory calibrated to 4, 7, and 10 pH. Includes cap, batteries, and lanyard.

pH Calibration Solutions contains 3 packets of 4.0 pH, 6 packets of 7.0 pH, and 3 packets of 10.01.

Obviously since it's being sold at a pet store it's meant for a fish tank. I
have no idea how well it works but I don't see why it wouldn't work. I do wonder what the ceiling for the PPM reading is???

I have a Hanna Combo meter, but I wouldn't mind having one of those pet store ones as a cost effective backup in case my Hanna goes on the fritz and has to be sent in for repairs. +Rep for the link :D

yeah nice find... thsi sounds great.. they give you some calibration juice for later... its allready 3 way calibrated... damn not bad... I have the hanna combo as well.. very nice and it reads all 3 ...

oh shit.. be carefull man... that price of 19.99 is only for the buffer solution the tester is 99.99... get the milwake one if not get the bad ass hannah combo..

Oh shit... good catch! I didn't even see that last night when I looked at it LOL... I was pretty high :lol:

Pretty sneaky of them putting the picture of the meter on the listing for the buffer solution....
